So what happens if we sweep TCU, steal 1 from KU, beat K-State, and lose to Texas, Baylor, KU, and Tech.

4-4 to end the season, and maybe win the play in game for the big 12 conference tourney. Hard decision imo.

The odds are more likely that Prohm calls me up, plays me, and I hit the game winner in half of those contests.
We're still a very, very bad team. It's unfortunate, but winning 1 more game is most likely beyond these guys.

I honestly think that if we keep playing "well", we'll luck into winning at least one more game.

TCU isn't fantastic, I think we have a chance to sweep them. KU is not the best. K-State is terrible. Sure the odds of this happening aren't great, but I think it could be doable. Just provoking discussion of what would happen in this scenario.

The talent level on the roster is good enough to do that. The talent level on the sidelines is not. Would be great if it happened but im not banking anything on it.

I've acknowledged that but thanks for continuing to beat that dead horse.

It’s about hope. That run would sort of give that. However, that run is also impossible.

so relax.

I submitted it as a talking point. I understand it is unlikely. But continue on the trend of the thread to shoot it down as impossible by all means.

Lol, are you guys really arguing that with 1 win he goes and 2 wins he gets to come back next year? Ive officially heard it all on CycloneFanatic now.
I believe there was only 1 person that believed it was possible Prohm is brought back if we win 1-2 more games this year (it was not me). Everyone else is arguing whether Prohm would be brought back if he wins out (interesting question, yet entirely hypothetical and impossible).

I think you could make an argument for 3, especially with the remaining schedule.

If Prohm is brought back, it's because of other factors and will have nothing to do with how the team does the rest of this year. We could beat KU 2x and @ #2 Baylor and that won't change the decision that's honestly already been made.

If he wins out I would be all for bringing him back. I have better odds of suiting up for a game than that happening though.

So we win an epic showdown 62-59 in Manhattan, pick off TCU once, then have once big upset and thats enough for him to come back? I just dont see this as him auditioning for his job situation. Hes either coming back or he wont, but I dont think it matters at all what happens in the next 3 weeks.

depends on the upset. Is it #2 Baylor in Waco? Is it top 10 Texas on our home floor? OU on our home floor? If it is a top 15 team I could see it. Otherwise he would be gone. I guess we would need to see a lot out of Walker and Dubar as well in those wins.

Also, why do you think blue bloods are struggling this year? A lot of it has to do with the very short offseason, and very little time for new pieces to gel with existing pieces. Post Covid Cyclones are what 0-2? Will be interested to see what happens from here on out. Also with my 3 game thing we would need to play every team within 10. No 15+ losses.

Didnt Mcdermott beat Kansas State in Manhattan when they were ranked 5th or something his last year? One game wont erase the last 4 years.
