Has any team ever gone winless in a Big 12/8 season? The Clones are certainly heading that way at warp speed.

Reminds me of when Harry Hogg told Cole Trickle to go out and hit the pace car even after the race had ended. He'd already ****** everything up so badly anyway, may as well leave with a parting shot. Prohm has set so many low bars of futility he may as well etch his name in the record books for the conference wins goose egg also.

We even tried the old flat ball trick and that didn't even work! Looked like jr. high kids against high school.

I’ve brought this name up many times and I’ll do it again today... If this short list doesn’t include Jon Scheyer, Pollard should not have the authority to make a basketball coach decision.

But he does, and you know he’s going to hire TJO.

Why would TJO come to Ames when he can coach at UNLV where it would be much easier to recruit and the conference competition is much more inferior than the Big 12. Hiring him would be very underwhelming.

Fizer is vocal on Twitter that he’s reached out more than once about coaching here. I don’t even know what he does at the moment career wise.

I like MF, one of my favorites from my favorite teams, but if the job comes open...not sure the timing is right. It was for Hoiberg coming off how LE ended, WM and Mac...the program was going no where, it needed a bolt of energy and Fred was the out of the box hire the revitalized a new generation of hoops fans. Despite the last 2 years, ISU hoops still has some credibility with what it’s accomplished in the last 10 years and should be a job that should garner some interest. A lot riding on the hire when JP decides it’s time, needs to connect.

Take it for what it is worth, simple gossip but decent source, Prohm is already gone and everybody knows it. Strong candidate for the job already inquired and was told no. Apparently ISU already has their man or a short list put together.

I heard something like this as well and would add a part where he is already building a house near where he came from when he started a ISU. Might be foo foo dust but this guy usually knows...

Everything is going to be fine, and not Marty. I would still make a run at Baylor's Drew because I love his style of basketball.

well while I agree, the good news is we can’t go backwards. I’m still mindblown on the 10 second call and how Prohm just acted like he didn’t see it.

Did anybody ask him about that in the post-game presser? I can't imagine what answer would even remotely make sense.

As an assistant, Fiser probably could have done quite a bit imrpoving the mental and physical toughness for the team. Prohm just doesn't seem to have a handle on how to instill that.

Pollard needs to beg him to come back. What a program he has.

Didn't McDermott at ISU have similar issues to those that Prohm has (perhaps not to as great of an extent)? He reduced Craig Brackins' offense to a turn-around fade-away.

The next coach who comes to ISU needs to understand that the Big 12 is a physical league. You are going to have WVU, BU, and TT beating on you, and OU and KU will not be slouches in that area.

Thanks for the info.

Also, if it’s Otz then Pollard hasn’t learned a damn thing from the Prohm disaster. It’s a re-tread of a minimally experienced coach that recruits well but hasn’t actually proven to be a good coach or program builder. Familiarity and comfort level are not acceptable reasons for JP to hire a coach. It’s lazy and dumb when there are many better candidates.
