Jamie’s not concerned with your feelings. Wait a month for gods sake.

I do wonder when people mention TJ Otzelberger on here is how do we know he would be a success? He was successful at a Mid-Major for a few years and then went up a level and hasn't done enough to prove he should be hired by ISU to improve our basketball program.

There are plenty of Mid-Major coaches out there that we can look at if we decide to make a change. I do not think we are going to be able to snag a coach from a P5 conference.

Puts our minds at ease knowing we will have a new coach next year, but doesn’t make pollard look like an ******* for firing him mid season
I don't like that move. Kind of disrespectful to the team. JP will wait until the season is over to address it, which he should. But it does need to happen, and as others have said, 80% of this team should go out the door with him as they are not big 12 players. I'll keep Solo (but of course, he's a senior) as a "bench/glue" guy, and Tre (shows potential). The rest can walk and it wouldn't upset me at all.

Good point. But hiring someone who bailed on us 6 years ago and who has a $10 million buyout doesn't seem like solid criteria either. And yet here we are still talking about Hoiberg coming back.

I mean it works out for Nebraska. They can let him go without paying him his buyout to fire him. Really a win win for all parties.

Honestly there are a few nice pieces for the next coach but honestly there needs to be a 80-90% turnover to the next staff as the culture of losing has completely embedded itself in many of these players.

i would imagine you will get your wish in roster turnover. Might even be more.

To be fair though, he's at UNLV which is a pretty terrible job in and of itself in the last 2 decades. Their "success" is way behind them.

I'm awaiting with eager anticipation.

First day of Big 12 Tourney is March 10th, my spring break staycation begins March 11th. Here's to a quick and speedy announcement by JP that very same day to let my vacation begin with a sense of renewal and hitting 'refresh' here on CF to track the rampant scouring of flight logs of hopeful coaching candidates.

Ooh look, another 20 point blowout. When you start 4 guards who consistently turn the ball over 15+ times AND shoot 25 percent from 3, maybe it's time for a different strategy?
Been thinking about this a lot lately... what exactly is the mismatch Prohm is trying to create with his 4 guard BS offense?

For everyone involved Pollard will take the high road, allow Prohm to finish the year, and then fire him either the next day after we are bounced or after the Big 12 Tournament is finished.
Prohm will get his buyout, and I am sure Pollard is already looking at his list of candidates to replace Prohm, he is too smart to not being doing it right now.

Prohm, the other coaches and the players look like dead men walking right now, just going through the motions for another couple of weeks.

I have to wonder if JP has already to told CSP that he's done after the Big12 tourney. He's had to, right?

100% chance they've been talking and JP is working on a plan with or without Prohm at the helm.

0% chance JP has pulled the trigger and told CSP that mid-season.

Why would they let him walk scot-free after two years with their record?

I always interpreted their hiring of Fred as a sign they were investing in their BB program. They'd be dumb to force themselves to start over again without getting something in return.

Jacksona and Solo are two of the first I would tell to look elsewhere. Walker and Foster are about it really.
