blount and green

probably announced this week

(we already knew this)

So if it eventually is Drob, Blount and Green. Would this be considered checking all the boxes? Everyone happy with this line up as coaching staffs go?

Boxes: Midwest recruiting, experience, retained staff familiarity w/team, diversity, big mans' coach, good looking, TJ wants them, like Clone cones. Check.

I wish, all that information was just from in the thread. unfortunately I've been just reading CF everyday like the gospel.
Yes I was getting there to. But you nailed it, gleaned all the info from the 'insiders' and put it into a nice little package before it became official!

Now on to the next how many, 2-4 transfers/recruits?!

For those in the know, how does TJ's staff (now that we know, D-Rob, Green, Blount), compare with his staff at UNLV (Kevin Kruger, Tim Buckley, DeMarlo Slocum)? https://hoopdirt.com/otzelberger-announces-unlv-coaching-staff/

Kruger has been promoted to head coach at UNLV (his Dad Lon, may now get involved there in some way also). Tim Buckley? DeMarlo Slocum? Not sure yet where they go next or if Kruger will retain them.

The only thing that I can surmise is that his UNLV staff had a 'western' and UNLV recruiting slant, while TJ's staff at ISU will have a Big 12/ Midwestern recruiting bias. Any other thoughts?

I am not one "in the know" about the assistant coaching, but I've seen that both Green and Blount were considered to of the best in the MW and MVC conferences with good ties to MW recruiting. DRob we are familiar with but was well liked and recruited a lot of the current team and essential to keep Foster and Hunter. Byers is also well like familar with both the players and TJ which will make the coaching change easier from an ops perspective. From the surface it looks like TJ got his first choice in a staff and that should give ISU fans confidence in it's potential to improve ISU soon.
