Unlike the hoks, they avoided the dreaded “ bad matchup “.How did they get the play in game and 11 seed?
Had all of the elements of a generally good team. Good PG play, two forwards who could score from anywhere, and defensively tough.
One of those highlights we'll see forever.
Who are we blaming that on? Or are we going to give credit where credit is due?
Man fricking COVID robbed us of the true reaction that game and ending deserved. Can you imagine what that arena would have been like if it was full like normal during the last 5 minutes of regulation and all of OT?
The crew calling the game tried to give it some juice, but it was still missing the true punch that thing deserved just because of the lack of energy from a sparse crowd. That game was what you always hope for in a Final Four or National Championship game.
My studio got out of sync but I didn’t want to get it sorted during the gameI love how you can tell how delayed everyone's broadcast is based on when they reacted to that shot
This is what took a lot of the joy out of watching tonight- that thought constantly running through my head.My Gawd...after watching that, we have a long way to go to get to that point...
Yes. A thousand times yes.I really think it should replace any and all 'highlights' from the 2001 tourney.
All of them.
That block by Suggs and quick fast break with a ridiculous pass for a dunk was incredible. Then the nearly half court shot. Wow! Just wow!
This is what took a lot of the joy out of watching tonight- that thought constantly running through my head.
If we ever get to a FF, this is how I picture us losing.
Bad as it sounds, I haven't thought about our program even once during the tournament.
We'd be leading before that shot goes in. And the ball would have bounced on the rim several times defying the laws of physics before falling.
Baylor is in trouble. I don’t bet, but I would put my mortgage on Gonzaga. I’ve watched enough sports in my life to know how momentum works, and mentally Gonzaga is on a high while Baylor is probably in awe of what just happened just like all of us.
