What I hope comes out of this is some strategic partnerships. Something like ISU partnering with Kansas to try to get into the Big Ten, or ISU partnering with Kansas, Oklahoma State, and Texas Tech or Kansas State to get into the Pac-12.
What did he release?

OKSU will be our biggest partner if the B1G doesn't want us.
Whatever happens the 'little eight' will need to stick together! Work to make sure they all are successful.
Edit: I wasn't being totally serious. I know each school will work its' best interest. I do believe most of the Big 12 leftovers would help each other if they could to a certain extent.

That's funny.

So the rest of the Big 12 is going to crawl on their hands and knees..... AGAIN.... and beg them to come back.... even if they have to give them the world to do so. Barf.

I understand that they are forced to do this because losing them might be doomsday.... but it's just sickening and almost makes me want them to leave and then suffer the consequences when CFB as we know it implodes under it's own greed.

This is what you release, while JP is making contingency plans to make the best landing spot if they do leave. Keeps you powder dry until you need to ignite it.

I get this, but we need the money. And, in theory, we become more important the more we win.

No way. Rather die on my feet than live on my knees.

Testifying
With all the talk about the super conferences, why are we not being aggressive and turning this back and pilfering the PAC to convince. If Big 12 is a super conference, why would TX/OU leave?
Could have happened in the past few months or years.
It appeared to be a good marriage. TX and OU went out and banged the hottie.

What money?

What if OU and TX will only stay if they get nearly all of the money? At what point do the rest of the Big 12 schools just have to tell OU and TX to go to h*ll? We can't give them everything.

Honestly the thing that sucks is there are so many dumbass programs run by absolute idiots that will just carry on only because they already have a seat at the table. Pollard and the admin staff have busted their ass to build an AD from the ground up for 15 years and the rug just pulled out from under them.

That is the difficult question. How much is the rest of the Big 12 willing to give up in order to "keep" UT and OU, who will obviously leave as soon as they get the chance?
