Being excited about a potential coach candidate is no big deal. Why do people feel the need to tell people how to feel? I was excited about Gill as a coach but am already over it.

I just said I hope people don't freak out when he says no.

I guess we've hit rock bottom. The guy that Syracuse rejected is telling us to **** ourselves. sweet. I'm just praying that other legit coaching candidates don't view as this worthless. We offer to quintuple the guy's salary and he won't leave. Why is it that money talks to EVERYONE, unless it's coming from our mouth?

I'm sure they're giving him a raise and contract extension. How far has ISU's program fallen that they can't get a coach from Buffalo?

I have a hawkeye/husker fan for a dad, a panther fan for a mother, a husker fan for a sister, and an arkansas/husker fan for a brother in law, Im plenty used to hearing things I dont want to, this is a non-issue compared to the holidays Ill be enduring here soon.

To calm the restless and give recruiting a chance. If the rumor is out there, they want to put a stop to any questions anyone might have. If Gene had officially said no to Auburn, I'm sure JP would have released a statement of some kind. Especially with the way this was in the media. Everyone had to know we'd come knocking.

The news station out of Buffalo reported that Gill wasn't interested on Sunday night.
