You are finding out that the world is tough. Texas is not the devil all the members of the B12 said they were. Neb lied, Aggy lied and we equalized in 2011. Its an Urban myth that Texas is some bully that treats its partners bad. I love ISU and hope they land in the B1g but hating on Texas got you here today. Its over. Cyclones.
Thanks for carrying us this year. So to be clear, 6.7 million people tuned in to watch ISU piss pound Oregon because Texas was in our league? Seems strange since your most viewed game was vs. OU at 4.8 million.

I hope old seven win Steve will have you guys a lot better in the SEC than you could in the little old Big 12.

Just promise when you win 6 and 7 games for the next few years that you don't still try to pretend you are a national power. We've got enough pure delusion from Nebraska fans. Everybody else laughs at them. Don't be them.

Had Big12 grabbed Clemson and FSU a few years back, the situation today would not have happened...

I think its important to step back and try to take a look at the image of us from outside the state. We as fans are cautious because of our lack of success historically. Iowa fans will always look down on us no matter what, which is why you see the ridiculous takes of us not ending in a power conference.

Nationally, the perception is a program trending in the right direction. A passionate fanbase that will tune in to watch their team and sign up for your streaming service; probably a big reason why the Fiesta bowl selected us over other teams. Does that mean we're going to the big 10? Not necessarily; I'm not sure how likely that is. But I'm guessing the Pac 12 would take us if they expand, which seeing their commissioners comments leads me to believe they will.

Heck being invited to the Camp World Bowl was kind of amazing considering the actual team's success.

It's unfortunate that these types of things can't be considered since stuff like conference tournaments and local economies get a bit of a boost with big fanbases.

But the B1G basketball tournament wasn't held in NYC because of the big crowds.

Heck the ISU/Oregon game drew more than the OU/FL bowl game and the mighty new SEC partners...

Here's the thing with TV ratings and Viewers....Every single week OU/TX were either on ABC/ESPN/FOX National...Nearly every single week.

Meanwhile the other 8 were on ESPN2/ESPNU/FS1/ESPN+....Gee no wonder the other 8 in part doesnt have the viewership Tx/Ou have.. Now I'm not saying the other 8 would have the viewership that Tx/Ou have if it were reversed but the gap would be significantly less IMO...

Behind you
Do you want the B1G to add, say, Washington, Oregon, and the California schools to form a 20-school conference? Just curious.

My #1 would be bringing in ACC schools and keeping things contiguous but expanding along the mid-Atlantic... ND, UVA, UNC, Clemson. That ain't happening.

So I'd be cool pulling USC, UCLA, Oregon, Cal from the Pac, and then ISU and I guess KU, get to 20, and going with some kind of four 5-team regional pods or something. But one midwest team with four way out west would be kind of wonky. I don't know. I like the idea of adding at least one or two bluebloods, obviously we're not going to add 4 or 6 bluebloods.
