I do hope Bowlsby has that evidence ready to go...looks like ESPN is calling his bluff.

If not yikes.

A person at Bob Bowlsby’s level doesn’t say he has irrefutable proof if he doesn’t. This isn’t your last OWI hearing.
When he says "I have irrefutable proof" he either does or is the most incompetent Commissioner ever. "You don't send a cease and desist letter if you have proof"?

Football scoop guy said it best.

Needless to say, Bowlsby's move was one of risk and desperation, because the conference has no other choice.

Way up there
I said he didn't have hard evidence, I didn't say he had nothing. I think it's pretty obvious that ESPN is guilty of exactly what Bowlsby alleged. I just don't think he can prove it in a court of law but I also doubt ESPN could prove that they didn't (because you know, they did).

You can hope!

I'd like to get more into Fox but it's too bad they don't have some sort of SportsCenter.

I haven't watched Sportscenter in over a decade. I cannot imagine sitting there waiting for them to talk about the things that interest me, when I can go directly to it online (and if I want to see what they said about my area of interest, a clip of that will undoubtedly be out there shortly on social media).

Yeah, we can see stuff online, but I still enjoy watching it because it does a good roundup with highlights and some expert and athlete interviews.

Definitely don't mean to disparage your taste there. It's just not my thing anymore. Long ago, it was can't miss TV for me.

It's totally cool. I completely understand how you can find other ways to get sports news. And the thing is, it bugs me that ESPN has monopolized that sports news format. Heck, CNN a long time ago used to have a half hour sports news show. I hope competitors haven't given up. If anything, it has a cornerstone effect for a network.

Nick Charles and Fred Hickman! With Van Earl Wright on weekends...it was a great show actually!
