If you want to see Trophies, go to the Bryant Museum @ Alabama some time!SEC didn’t exactly pursue adding trophies by adding Texas. That was 100% about eyeballs

Historically that has been a timeslot for a power team against an underling team. Like Auburn vs. Vanderbilt.Honest question. I have no idea. Are there no 11 AM Central time games (Noon East Coast) games in the sec?
What's silly about this grievance from OU is that the networks decide when the games will be kicked off. My understanding is that the school and conference have little say in the matter.
In this regard I think ISU is in a rather unique position.
Yes, our overall trajectory is obviously upward - even before CMC came on board.
I think (looking through Cardinal and Gold tinted glasses) that the B1G has a unique opportunity to grab ISU now, counting on continued upward athletic, facilities and attendance growth. A big factor in that consideration IS CMC's obviously truthful statements about his goals at ISU and how he plans to stay somewhere into the future as long as our AD stays (and he can compete at a top level, ie major conference.)
If too much time passes and uncertainty exists the very real possibility that CMC will bolt and the B1G's potential choice and growth potential of ISU diminishes.
A quite unique position for ISU and potentially for B1G, IMHO.
Or you could show up at 9:30 and go into the stadium. The key is Not attending. Home game with an 11:00 o'clock start means leaving at home around 4:30 to get to Ames by 7:00 or so, set up the tailgate, get things rolling and then we have to take everything down around 10:15 to 10:30 at the latest.
Makes for a very long day, wife complains the whole time and its generally cold and wet for the later games. The sweet spot for games are with 2;30 or 6:00. Plenty of time to tailgate, and still get home before one in the morning.
At this point I can’t tell if you genuinely don’t understand how much damage that amount of loss money would be or if you’re just willingly ignoring it.I'm really tired of ISU playing the part of cannon fodder. That's pretty much been our role forever. I don't want to get on our knees and beg the Pac 12 or Big 10 to take us in so we can be their *****. I've long been a proponent of ISU moving to the Big 10 but not under circumstances like these. There's a power void in the Big 12 now and someone is going to fill it. Why not ISU.
There's going to be alot of money. I don't expect the common fan to have any vision. There is $500,000,000 coming just from contract in the next 4 years let alone any penalty or lawsuit settlements. At this point I can’t tell if you genuinely don’t understand how much damage that amount of loss money would be or if you’re just willingly ignoring it.
Holy ****.There's going to be alot of money. I don't expect the common fan to have any vision.

Not a chance of what getting the money that's already contracted? Think a little before you do a chicken little. Using message boards as your research is a bad idea. Not a chance.
The best play now for everyone not in the SEC is to stand pat and not agree to expand the playoff. I don't think anyone is going to expand except the Big 12.If ISU does get money, it will probably be used as the entry fee into a league would be my guess. If we do find a good landing spot, it won't be cheap so for that reason alone, we need a chunk of money. Whether we get it, is another story.

Instead of Cindy leave WV in there.I think we'd have two options if the PAC gets picked apart and we don't find a P5 home...go for 16 teams and do pods...or stick with 12 and do an east-west alignment. My preference would be the 12 team grouping. Further, to give it ANY stability we'd have to a very long term GOR...similar to what the ACC has...at least a 15 if not a 20 year time frame. The money would either come from Fox...reaching out to CBS...or going full streaming which actually is the future and likely the most profitable setup.
Northwest Pod
Washington St
Oregon St
Utah
BYU
Southwest Pod
Arizona
Arizona St
Colorado
Texas Tech
Midwest Pod
Iowa St
Kansas St
Kansas
Cincinnati
Cowboy Pod
Oklahoma St
TCU
Baylor
Houston
Alternately, if you just want to go with 12 it looks like an even stronger grouping:
Midwest
Oklahoma State
Iowa State
Kansas State
Cincinnati
Kansas
TCU
West
BYU
Utah
Colorado
Arizona State
Arizona
Texas Tech
We need at least 2 things at this moment. The best play now for everyone not in the SEC is to stand pat and not agree to expand the playoff. I don't think anyone is going to expand except the Big 12.
Why not play with the big boys and be a power there? I’d rather win a conference with Ohio st, Michigan, Oregon or the like vs Memphis, Tulane and UCF. That argument makes zero sense. It doesn’t matter at this point how you get in the door. Just get in there.I'm really tired of ISU playing the part of cannon fodder. That's pretty much been our role forever. Am I the only one seeing more positive numbers than what the networks want us to see? 7.2 million watched TX vs OK last year. Yes. A big number. BUT, 6.7 million watched ISU vs OR which out drew OK's bowl. More watched ISU's game against OkSt than watched Texas in their bowl. Outside of 'Red River Rivalry', I just don't get the big viewership argument. At this point I can’t tell if you genuinely don’t understand how much damage that amount of loss money would be or if you’re just willingly ignoring it.
