I'm seeing a disappointing lack of Veep recommendations so I'll mention it again, one of the funniest shows I've watched.

I loved this show. One of my favorites ever. Crazy, weird, intense. It really stuck with me.
Yes. Three seasons total. Third one is about two missing kids in Arkansas I believe. Mahershala Ali and Stephen Dorff are the two main characters. Interesting in that it takes place in three different time periods of their lives and they overlap a bit.
The best line in the series was at the end of Season 2. I can't remember it verbatim but it was something like
"What is happening here?"
"I have no idea"
Truer words were never spoken on TV.
Every episode ended up with me thinking "WTF did I just watch?"
That's Breaking Bad for me. I can never make it past 20 minutes of the first episode. Zero interest. Like throw the remote at the TV level of interest.

I've never seen Breaking Bad but from what I understand is it started real slow and then started picking up momentum as it progressed.

We originally purchased HBO Max to re-watch game of thrones during last year. However, we needed up keeping it as we have watched other things on there as well. I think Big Bang Theory is also on HBO Max, which we watch.
Can't wait for Succession to come back. Also, I don't think anyone has mentioned Insecure, but I really like that one too. We also enjoy Last Week Tonight, and watched the first few seasons of Ballers. The functionality of the app sucks though. Someone tweeted that HBO Max is like if someone who actively hates users designed a platform, and it's pretty much true.

Also, some have mentioned some disappointment with True Detective seasons 2 and 3.
I think the biggest problem is people expect it to be as good or better than season 1, which is impossible.
If you temper your expectations and just enjoy the seasons as they are, it's much better.

Big fan of His Dark Materials and Lovecraft Country. HBO has a lot of really good content IMO
Just watched a doc called "Class Action Park" that I thought was pretty good.
