What if the SEC decided to make a northern play and scoop up ISU and Kansas? This whole thing is going to play our like a game of Risk so why not? Then they would be squarely in the backyard of the other major power conference in B1G.

We dont fit the traditional model of the SEC but traditions have already been cast aside.

Kind of a pipe dream but I could see the SEC saying screw it, we are land grabbing.
If ESPN is trying to place everyone to dissolve the league so there are no exit fees and lawsuits its plausible but not probable. It gives the SEC two more AAU schools, fits to the western region of the league.

ESPN could get the ACC to add TCU and Baylor a lot easier than the PAC and if those two schools got ACC Network carriage in Texas it adds a lot of revenue.

If the PAC takes TT, OSU, KSU and UH? that's everyone but WVU.

Maybe the alliance creates a situation where non conference games can count in the standings or let PT members qualify for CCGs based on win % as a way for the ACC to take ND and WVU.
If this happens we then have a P4.

And it could have been the B12 first, but all but UT voted against it. It makes one wonder what could have been…
That's not true, four schools were against it (UT, OU, A&M & NU) and Weiberg needed 9 votes to proceed with a B12 Network. This was in 2006. Weiberg later quit as Commish in disgust, went to the B10 to help launch BTN and here we are:
