The sad part is, they'll confiscate any signs and eliminate any mention of what they've tried to do to us.

It's amazing how little I care about this compared to two years ago.

Yeah, I am surprised they would consider coming. The exposure is great, but I potentially foresee them having a tough time controlling the language and chanting of the crowd.

I’m not mad they’re coming, but considering everything that’s happened the last few months combined with them controlling the narrative by attempting to erase their involvement, not to mention they’ve been here before now, this just doesn’t move the needle for me.

I'm already warming to the idea. They can't really control the chants, so organize something so loud and for so long they can't ignore it. Force them to reckon with it on-air. With a big crowd and showcasing all those new facilities it would be a nice endorsement if (big if) the Gameday crew said on the show that we deserved a home in a major conference.

Would be awesome news! If you don't want GameDay in Ames, then you don't want what is best for the Iowa State football program. Simple as that. Quite frankly, pull your head out of your ***. Only exception to this is if you think Navy deserves it for 9/11 - if you are complaining because tailgating will be less convenient then go jump in Lake Laverne.

I don't want them here for that game. It turns what's already a **** show day into a cluster **** day.

I'm hearing lots of rumblings that it will be on the intramural fields.

This would be better than screwing up the new plaza with all the security and the set build out that close to the main parking areas and blocking the experience of everyone seeing the new plaza and SPC.

It will either be on the north plaza or on the south side of the stadium. The intramural fields was a joke.

I say let them come, and let the game do the talking for us. When we win and run the table in conference, no one will be more in our comer than ESPN.

Maybe I came at the right time 2 years ago, but Gameday didn’t seem to make things any different than other Iowa games I’ve been at. There’s far fewer Hawk fans in Ames the last several times compared to the early 2000s. Gameday is a positive for Iowa State as a whole - never going to complain about them showing up no matter who we play.

Hopefully this time we can get a guest picker who isn't still drunk/high from the night before and has an actual connection to the host school or is a neutral Iowan (Nick Nurse type)
