I don’t know if you can be downright dominant on defense without forcing a turnover

Iowa has earned 14 points on offense.......been given 13. Take away the O's in ability to hold on to the ball......giving up 14 points is usually enough to win most games.

That drives success was less about the personnel change and more about being aggressive on offense. First drive since championship game last year that we played with any fire or with interest for big plays. Imagine that with big time playmakers that we have on offense

One thing you can’t argue is Dekkers throws a WAY better ball. Now there’s a lot more to quarterbacking than that but that part isn’t even debatable honestly

And when he misses, it's usually low instead of high which makes it much less likely to be tipped or intercepted. As long as Manning leaves, he should develop nicely.

Oh I agree the defense took care of business but I think downright dominant is overstating it

Brock Purdy has gotten worse every year. Dekkers looks like the real deal. He’s not staring receivers down, goes through his reads(Brock doesn’t. He did as a freshman. Never now.), has a much better arm and is accurate. He needs to start.

We have thought that about ever QB who has come in to Save the day in the middle of a game for a decade.

Whatever, it's a long season, and thinks looked even more hopeless after ULL last season.

I had a bad feeling all offseason that last season was an outlier due to all the Covid fuckery and this year would revert to the mean for Campbell and Co, and the first two weeks have shown me nothing to change that opinion. I think we are back to being a 7-8 win team that just has to hope to get into a decent bowl.

Plenty of room to work up front when Iowa drops seven every play. Can't even compare.

Not that it's a good thing.....but I'm old enough to remember thinking I will pull all my teeth and gum my food forever for just ONE 8 win season.

I won't blame the dreadful performance on the uniforms, but I could do without any alt but the all-black. I'd feel the same way even if this was a W.

I like the blacks but hopefully we lay off them a bit now that we aren’t undefeated in them. I miss the all reds and think they are sharp bThough this just proves the “just win baby” - if we had won this I wouldn’t care one way or another
