Paulsens were coaches on Pan Am team, I think. They were big in getting Storr & Parker

Maybe the Mich AD and head coach should have checked first with the experts here before making the hire.

USA Wrestling posted news of the hire on TheMat yesterday.

In addition, I see that KJ is originally from Michigan (Lansing).

KJ:
Last 5 seasons as a coach
6 Conference Champions
1 National Champion
10 All-Americans
NCAA Finishes: 11th, 12th, 12th, 14th, 57th

KD:
Going into 5th season
5 Conference Champions
1 National Champion
7 All-Americans (3 during a COVID year when tournament didn't actually happen)
NCAA Finishes: 13th, 16th, 45th, DNP (COVID)

I'm not saying KJ was taking this team in a great direction or that KD won't eventually get us to where we want but this isn't what I expected it to look like when I started looking at the numbers.

I did not think that KJ was an effective head coach and rightly so. This comparison is very revealing. Dresser's seat should be warm.

PS: I will always respect KJ for how he handled the Andrew Long situation. Lost a lot of respect for Sanderson.

Lol I was ridiculed this past spring/summer for being critical of this staff. Now everyone thinks Dresser is no different than KJ. Nothing has even happened in the meantime. You can’t make this stuff up.

I do like what I’ve seen from Dresser, but it’s not enough yet. My concern is the team continues to meddle around in this 10-20 range. I’m not ready to call for his head yet, but we need some top 10 teams. Give him 3 more years or so.

You're quite the victim here, Crabby. Simpsonclone presented evidence I had not seen before. I commented directly on that.

For the record, I agree with you now as I did back before. Note how I didn't say hot seat. Dresser has shown some positive stuff, but has more to prove. As with most coaches he sometimes falls victim to his own hype. It's a tricky line between building excitement and over promising. He's done both.

As for "nothing happening" there have been both hits and misses with recruiting. And some reshuffling of upper weights that IMO follows a disturbing pattern of uncertain management.
