Came out seeing the 2020 Iowa State team.
Now looking like the team from September again. I’m getting concerned this team does not have mental toughness. And it’s mind boggling given their experience.

When we can't get 1 yard on 3rd down, it makes it hard to go for it.
It just amazes me that the secondary cannot cover a deep post and leaves guys wide open, especially against an offense ran by Courtney Messingham
We look poopy. Defense makes a good stop then falls apart on third down. That’s a common occurrence this year.
if they spotted the ball correctly KSU has 4th and 2 decision.
ISU doesn’t need to be flawless for the usual horrible officiating @KSU to exist.
I guess that's kinda our style?
Allow the short stuff, prevent the long plays, hope they make a mistake.
Having said that, doesn't seem to be working so far.
That first-play-from-scrimmage touchdown is becoming a distant memory already.
I've been waiting all year for the offense to open up - I understand we don't have elite receivers but when everyone and their grand mother is hanging around the LOS looking at Breece - maybe a bubble? Or some kind of quick game to the outside. Even if we only get 5-8 yards - do it often enough and those safeties will start to widden.
