Rigged Officiating

I’d get off the rigged thing. They had a pretty brutal OPI call early in the second half, plus a bad DPI on that last drive.

The refs just got in the way today. What’s worse is they clearly were too scared to overturn anything they should have overturned. But we screwed a lot up to get into this situation.

The DPI was clearly correct as he pulled his jersey. I can see getting frustrated at the OPI call, but the defender abruptly fell down so I don't think it was that bad. OPI is always a call that people think is wrong because they let a ton go normally.

So as long as we don’t play a perfect game we have no right to call out obviously horrible officiating that definitely impacted the outcome? Crazy.

it's naïve to say games aren't rigged

there were repeated bad calls that didn't go in our favor at critical junctures of the game (however we didn't help ourselves in certain situations and defense didn't play very well without rose)

I also thought there were bad pi calls against wvu for whatever that's worth

The play clock was stunning to me.

We know for a fact that before Sports Betting was legalized, at least one NBA ref was fixing games (side note, no way in hell Donaghy was the only one imo.) Doesn't mean the game today was but there is wayyyyy too much money at stake to assume games are never rigged.

Both can be true. The line was 7.5. The officiating was bad. Admit it.

On their touchdown, you never saw the black pellets come up if he foot would have touched the ground. They showed one angle once and only once that his foot never came down.
The Hall fumble was a complete joke, not only was his knee down but also his elbow and I still think the he broke the plane for a touchdown. Only after he hits does the ball come out, he was on the ground.

Untimely it comes down to we were not get enough pressure on their QB and he got on a roll, standing in the pocket and scanning for an open receiver. In the past we had ball hawking DB's that could make a play, now we give too much of a cushion and just hope the QB is off on his throw, we are not blitzing enough and when we do, we are not getting home. We also had the worst tackling game of the year, way to many YAC yards today.

Yeah there’s a 99.9% chance this game wasn’t rigged, but it’s naive to suggest that rigging doesn’t happen. It’s affected games and sports that are much more professional than college football. Gambling is huge. And college football is actually a great sport to rig. You can place a bet on a Conference USA game and if the refs screw the game, who’s going to care?

I'm fine with it. There were consistent blatantly incorrect calls. You want to say there wasn't something funny go ahead but I will stand behind it 100%. Something funny happened with the officiating.

2 TD's that weren't really TD's:

1. Should have been a delay of game
2. The one catch he never had a foot down. The one view it looked like he did but it was an illusion because in the 3rd angle they only showed once you can see never foot touches before he lands out of bounds.

Me too. I’m not sayin it was rigged but it was so bad and it’s not gonna get addressed and it’s wrong.

I mean, yeah. Defense had their worst showing in a while, and the offense again was sporadic. But the officials were gonna force Iowa State to be 3+ TDs better instead of the usual just outscoring the opponent. Both can be true.
