Stupid Microsoft Teams updated and added a new section that is the default when you log in. It's called "Viva Insights"
And what is this new obsession over the last year with "mindfulness"? My Virgin Pulse constantly has mindfulness challenges where you should sit back daily and think about it.

How many of you have to wear dress pants for your jobs? I realize some of you bastards are retired. I recently discovered Amazon Essential khakis. Highly recommend.

Reply #2 to this. Good thing I didn't, a second group of eight just stopped by. The "flashlight family" and friends. Cute kids, wanted to know if I had a cat. They were petting the neighbors cat in my yard earlier this week. Same calico cat that runs at the sight of me.
Do you have a cat? Or just a surrogate neighbor cat

Can't believe @ImJustKCClone let these slip by without offering you a baker's dozen cats.

Our Teams hasn't updated...yet.

Virgin Pulse dollars did get me a new GoPro so that was nice. My dad doesn't do them because they took too long. My mom wasn't happy when she found out how much money he wasn't getting because he was taking it too seriously and actually doing them.

I used to... Honestly even before pandemic our dress code had relaxed to the point that most people wore nice jeans most days.

You rockin’ skinny jeans? Less wind resistance up in the sky I suppose.

Absolutely no one wants to see me in skinny jeans. It would be redefining the meaning of skinny.

I get $20 a quarter from Virgin Pulse if I get 13k points, which is pretty easy. Also get $175 credit towards my health insurance for each quarter as long as I hit 8k points. Currently I have close to 10k points after 32 days.

My sister's house went on the market yesterday. Had three showings last night. Biggest complaint is the kitchen isn't open enough. Stupid HGTV and their massive open concepts kitchens with $15k appliances for people that can't even cook.

My department had a dress code when I first started working there, and I ruined a number of nice pairs of slacks because of the nature of my job. I finally got fed up and talked to ISU HR, because faculty did not have the same restrictions that staff did, and other departments did not have the same restrictions our did, and they told me that our dress code was unenforceable. Armed with that info, I told our department administrator that if faculty could come to work in shorts or jeans, then I could damn well wear jeans in my lab.
I won. :D

Mine doesn't have that. I looked - it's just an app that can be added on ours.

I'll keep those in mind if we ever go back into the office again.

Gotta tell ya, I never watched HGTV, but an open kitchen was high on my list of priorities when we were looking for this place 18 years ago. I had spent 10 years in apartments & student housing, and then 20 years in a house where two was a crowd in the kitchen. I wanted space. :)

Printed off my folk's MBB tkts tonight, that preconference schedule is just like Charmin. SOFT!! Woof they should be able to run that schedule except for Iowa. They should have enough wins by the Iowa game they should go into it with a lot of confidence. By the way on the radio (?) I heard Eric Steyer rejoined the team as a grad school walk on good for him. His folks are nice and the times I've met him he seems like a good kid.

No, we'll really only win 7-8 of those games. The teams with a pulse (or name we recognize) are much better than we are.

I have no problem with open concept but HGTV has raised expectations to such an unreasonable level.
