Recent class of '22 recruiting surge by tOSU shouldn't sway his decision much I wouldn't think. He's one and done. I'd assume he's wanting something now and I hope Joe Colon can be that guy.Don’t do this to me.

Imagine what Knopick, Redding, everyone in the room could gain? This is crazy!
I'm sure Joe would appreciate Suriano's presence as well.
Did Willie mention his guess in one of his shows on Rokfin or something?
Oh my god…. Tell me not to get my hopes up. Someone tell me not to get my hopes up….Imagine what Knopick, Redding, everyone in the room could gain?
Willie released his crystal ball predictions for the seaosn on Rokfin
That’s the great thing about coming to ISU. 25, 33, 41 - he can go wherever he wants.Do we know that Suriano wants to or can make 125?
(as an aside, I see that Gomez wrestled his first match at Wisconsin--at 149)
Willie saying someone put $ 150,000 on the table for Suriano - as usual don’t know if we can believe this but it’s out there

Such as?If one of our boosters has that kind of money for wrestling it would be much better spent elsewhere.
Such as?
I mean I love wrestling, so if it gets a guy like Suriano cool, but yes $150k could go elsewhere and have a way bigger impact. A potential high-level football or men's basketball player is where it would benefit more. I hate to say this because I want us to be back in the mix for wrestling at the national level, but that's a pure fan thing. Wrestling does not matter on the national stage, which sucks, but it is what it is. Football makes the money and pays the bills, so if you can somehow get a high-impact football player to give our program a boost that can have a bigger payoff down the road (win a Big 12 title for example) that's where it should go.I’m kinda curious myself. Wrestling is the sport that could use the NIL stuff to it’s advantage more than any other sport, in my opinion.

But again, as a pure fan of wrestling I am not going to complain if it gets us a talent like Suriano hahaha!
Such as?
Oh no I completely get it, and again I will say it. I love wrestling, and am in no way going to turn down someone wanting to use their money on a great wrestler to get him in here. Just making the poster's point above that from a thing that can actually help ISU potentially on a national level and making money. But, unlike basketball and football, wrestling is hamstrung from an available scholarship prospective. There aren’t enough available schollies to give a full lineup a free ride, even if we wanted to. Basketball, by comparison, is allow 2.5 times the schollies needed to put a team on the court.
The wrestling community should be using NIL to bridge that gap, if they aren’t already. That’s all I’m saying.
