Maybe at a half time or something they could help but you can only do those every so often.
I think CMC lays off the rah rah or incite anger or seriousness speeches early on in the season for a reason, they just lose their luster after a while.

If I was coaching Texas on Saturday in Ames, I'd be pretty mad too. That team quit. As it has been for years, their program is a complete mess. Changing coaches or conferences won't fix what's wrong there. The amazing thing about it all is they don't see it. The fans, the administration, the players, the Texas media....none of them see it. It's everyone else's fault.
At least he didn't cross the line and insult their fat little girlfriends.
Texas will never solve the problem until they admit what the problem REALLY is. The Texas fans and the so called expert pundits say their problem is lack of talent. That's a joke. Since 2017, how many 4 or 5 star recruits has each team signed? 4 for Iowa State. 70 for Texas. That's right, 70.

Hey a rants a rant. It's a violent game played by aggressive players and coached by the same. These kids have been yelled at like that since middle school. I had a high school coach grab my face mask as I was running off the field and he nearly broke my neck. Yelled and spit in my face for what seemed like a minute. My dad said after telling him about it, "well maybe you've learned when to open your mouth.". That was that.
I think what's odd about this rant is telling the kids if they want out, leave. Very strange platform and timing to be screaming that.

I'm sure it's not like this today, but that's what my middle school coaches were like all the time. Of course we sucked and routinely got our asses kicked so they were mad a lot. Somehow all the yelling and screaming didn't make us better. Go figure.

CMC is the polar opposite, preaches consistency and process, after a while its just an ingrained habit. CMC is a mentor of mine, more a mentor possibly than anyone in my life and I have never met the guy. I have known people that try to get results by screaming, its self serving and pointless for the most part.
There seems to be a bit of a disconnect there. Sark states how they "battled their butt off" the whole ball game and that "it wasn't about effort." And yet here's another coach on staff who clearly feels like they didn't care enough and weren't taking things seriously.

Some Texas fan called into Murph & Andy yesterday; supposedly he was sitting behind the Texas bench, and after a 3 and out or bad drive some of the players were coming off the field and joking around/yukking it up.

Wouldn't be shocked if the staff is purposely trying to push players to transfer.
The problem goes beyond the players/coaches though. It's the fanbase, boosters and media. They are all part of the problem.
If he remembered that football is actually a game it might help with his anger issues.
