BTW, I'd take the DB #14 Schooler. Dude was everywhere in the second half and special teams. Too bad he spent 4 years at Oregon and transferred to Texass. He was one player I would say kept playing. He is a baller and would love to have him at ISU.

I vividly remember back in my glory days of HS baseball, losing a game where we played poorly, and our coach very calmly got on the bus and said, "Close the windows". Then he unleashed not too dissimilar from this Texas coach. Ah, memories.

But why was this the D-line coach giving this speech? Did Sarkisian take a private jet home to get a head start on drinking the loss away?

Some Texas fan called into Murph & Andy yesterday; supposedly he was sitting behind the Texas bench, and after a 3 and out or bad drive some of the players were coming off the field and joking around/yukking it up.

I'm not a "no fun of any kind" personality, but you shouldn't be in good spirits if you're getting blown out like that.

I'm certain ass chewings like that happen all the time. At nearly every college, including isu. If a player in s recording it and leaking it, it means they have not bought in and that us the problem for texas. You are either bought in, or you aren't. At least some have not bought in. Winning programs need to have everyone bought in.

In short: more of the same for texas until they get a group of players and coaches all on the same page.

After 4 straight loses, throwing a temper tandem shows he doesn't have a ******* clue. If he had any salt this would of been fixed after the OU debacle.

Here is my thoughts: It is pretty safe to say that TX had a top 10 recruiting class every year for the past 5 years. So, clearly they should have the talent to win games. I don't buy the whole, he needs to get his kind of guys in the program when you have a roster full of 5 star guys. It looks to me like it is way more of a coaching and culture issue to me. There players just have no fight in them, which is indicated by the second half folds they have been having.

Don't forget that Sark had the No. 1 recruiting class when he was at USC and the next year, he promptly drunk himself out of a job.

Honestly, I have no idea why they fired Herman. Sure they didn't win the Big 12, but they looked like they were heading in the right direction. The loss to ISU was pretty embarrassing for a team full of 5 star guys. If Campbell was the type to run up the score it could have been really ugly.

Yeah, there's 100% a problem there. As someone who just left an extremely toxic workplace where meltdowns like that happened a lot I can say easily someone who has temper tantrums like that over people having fun shouldn't be coaching.

And yeah, for a player to feel comfortable recording that and put it online it says a lot about how the players feel about their coaches. This probably isn't a first time thing if someone was able to react fast enough to record most of the meltdown

Overall, it's pretty funny that we're less than a year in of Sark and this is already going on. Texas in the SEC is going to be really meme worthy going forward.
I think there is a difference between the two. First I think that there is a vastly different expectation for the workplace and a football team. Second while I don't think that ranting like this should be normal or your go to motivation it can be appropriate in certain scenarios. If my team at work just didn't do important aspects of our jobs and it led to significant issues at work I'd expect to be fired or yelled at. Now my workplace works well and has no where near the issues like this, but we are dealing with some people who aren't with it and having to deal with them. The issues don't cause us issues or damage the organization as a whole so we aren't super worried about it, but if it was we would be doing something to hold these people to what they should be doing.

From my limited career in sports I do remember there was no way to draw the ire of a coach quicker than having anything resembling fun on a bus ride back from an *** whooping.

We had a multi-year winning streak go by the wayside in HS CC after a non awesome performance my senior year. The bus was co-ed with Varsity and JV all grouped in. About 1/2 way home, there was to much grab-ass going on and the last half hour was spent listening to our coach blow the **** up.

The people that needed to be pissed on the ride home already were. The people that weren't didn't matter and the "pep talk" didn't do much to motivate them. I'm probably not a good enough person to totally bite my tongue in those instances, but it also never really makes sense to me to react with that much vitriol.

He reminds me of Neidermeyer on Animal House. The guy who was killed by his own troops in Vietnam.
