Just watched the game. This team is going to be in a lot of games on how hard and tough of defense they play. Now if we can find our offense

would rather have a good defense set than vice versa. Offense will come. Enough to make a huge difference yet to be seen. But gimme our defense prowess now and I’m all in.

Love what I’m seeing. That said, we’ll be lucky to average two points per game from the post. Need the 3 ball to be better.

That was enjoyable in a "Tim Floyd" kind of way more than a "Fred Hoiberg" kind of way. I can get on board with that...hopefully leads to some good wins this year!

...We can finally end our love affair with Fred and realize he was a bit smoke and mirrors once Kane and Ejim left.
What?
You're leaving out some huge names after they were gone and before Fred left. Losing those gentlemen hurt...but CFH wasn't all smoke and mirrors. Come on now...Steve Prohm maybe...but not Fred.

Thought it was kind of a mix. The offense ran quite a bit and wasn't exactly stalling but the shots didn't fall.

I would say this is nuts but I watched some of Xavier tonight and they arent that great

I've been called worse, but since seeing what talent was kept along with brought in (especially Big 10 transfers) all they needed was chemistry. And here we are. There will be nights where nothing works and/or the other team just has too much. Fine......but after what I've seen it won't happen more times than not. I think they have a real shot at being a middle pack Big 12 team with maybe a win or two in the conference tourney from being in. And can you imagine this group in Kansas City with a full deck of fans behind them with that on the line?

I think more of an LE way. They are trying to score, just run into dry spells. Some of Tim's teams I swear if not for the shot clock would have won 2-0. Besides, Bankhead, Pratt, Cato and Holloway weren't exactly scoring machines.

I think, by the end of the year, they will be gassed. They play hard and have no depth, but I'm here for it.

Oregon State fans must not do meltdowns like we do not seeing much. This place is great in the high times and the meltdowns, lets embrace the roller coaster.
actually our boards are incredibly calm compared to most schools. You think our melt downs are bad, visit it some other boards after a loss, it's a lot more brutal than ours.

The offense will be a struggle all season.

That was a great, consistent, strong game from this new team and coaching staff. Well done.
Indeed. I kept thinking to myself, win or lose, I am enjoying watching this team compete. it is a far cry from the crap defense, the dibble pick and roll offense with lack of spacing, that crappy shot selection, low bb IQ plays, etc... This team tries, they go after lose balls, they are seemingly unselfish, they give effort on the defensive end. If Hisnon wasn't going to give the effort on the defensive end, I can see why he was going to struggle with this program. I thought their shot selection was a little questionable at times, but that is the only minor flaw I saw. I don't think we will be very good this year, I think they will wear down, but they have established a culture and will be very fun to watch.

Small sample size, but for a team picked last for the big 12, I'm liking what I'm seeing as many have already shared.

I think Hunter is looking very comfortable and confident as a true freshman.

Knowing how to win/winning certainly helps build confidence, too

They are 18-23 year olds. When I was that age I had a huge reserve tank to call on. I think they will be fine except in back to back day situations.

Hunter gonna be an assist machine. Remind you of anyone?
I was in the student section when Jeff Hornacek showed up. A walk-on if I remember right. He could really pass the ball.

I love Hunter’s demeanor. Exactly what you want in your PG. Turnover or great play, he stays steady.

In both games it seems on the court, in the huddle and on the bench that Brockington is embracing being the leader on the team. Really like his game and attitude.
