Ugh. I really hope Mason Thomas doesn’t know anything… I hope it’s not related to all of this.

God dammit I can't take this anymore. I don't care what you have to do Pollard, do anything you can to keep CMC in Ames. And I mean anything. He wants more money? Give to him. Give the assistant coaches (Except Manning) more money too. He wants more bonuses? Give it to him.

I hope CMC is here forever, I think he fits here wonderfully, but that's for him to decide. If he goes, I'll wish him the best, but deep down I would laugh if he ever got let go after a 4 to 6 win season. Which can happen at some of those schools.

I guess I'm petty.

I hope this as well, but trying to remember if a single school has had this much smoke for Campbell appear out of nowhere especially since the job has been open for a while.

I don't know. I think that with FSU and Tennessee the smoke was pretty thick.

If you are Pollard and you are trying to keep Campbell, you tell him you won't ******* interfere in his assistants.

This screams that another historically power school (USC this time) expects to hire Campbell from “lowly ISU” but doesn’t necessarily mean it’s mutual. This is no different than Tennessee, Florida State, Detroit Lions in previous years. Don’t get me wrong, he could still go this year but the rumors at this point are no different than previous years.

Also the bit about Aranda....didn't he basically say 'nah I'm good'?

Exactly this. I have been critical of Manning this season but If I'm JP, I wouldn't dare suggest to Campbell that I know better how to run his football team better than he does. That's the whole damn reason I hired him in the first place.

This is what will help us. Think USC is going to leave him alone? JP basically asks Matt what he wants/needs and then does what he can to acquire that for him.

Give HCMC a 20 year contract. Who cares the price?

All of us when ticket prices skyrocket.

If the game becomes about price, than we will lose every time to blue bloods with built in advantages.

JP needs to focus on things like fit, longevity, family life style, etc. That’s our best chance of keeping Coach.

An AD should never interfere with assistants. They do sometimes when trying not to fire a
head coach, but it never works.

But in our case the only question pollard should have is do you want more money for them?
