He’s making $3.5 million now. There’s no reason we can’t make that $5.5-6 with how little we’re paying our basketball coach now.

Eh, I’m no AD, but I’ve got to think COVID cuts and decreasing future tv money are legitimate factors.

Plus, it looks like we’ll be needing to pony up for Otz sooner rather than later (a good problem to have).

It's amazing how badly Iowa fans want CMC to leave...... CMC hasn't beaten them.... why would they want him gone?

CMC does like building programs up..... and USC does need to be rebuilt.

If you spend time trying to discover the rationalization of Iowa fans’ thinking, it will be a long long day.

Not exactly sure.
Paying a guy 5 million after 5 straight bowl games, 5 straight winning conference seasons, the most big 12 victories by any coach? Well worth it.

If pollard tries to go cheap, he should be fired.
The other thing, a guy who filled and expanded stadium, lead the reason for increased donations. This staff is paying for itself.

I assume the Albaugh’s can pony up the money for TJ.

I want CMC but USC is a top 5 job in college football and anyone who disagrees is nuts.

Same with LSU. And Ohio State. And Alabama.

Hell of a lot easier to recruit, as well.
EVERY top 5 job now started as a much lesser one. With the transition of viewership, rebranding to fit a demographic, and continued faithful, I see no reason ISU can't be any different in football than Duke or Gonzaga are in basketball. We're entering a completely new era of sports where worldwide marketing plays a much bigger role. Cyclones to be the new model of 'top 5 job'.

If I made 4 million a year living in Ames.... money would be of no concern to me if deciding to take another job. But that's just me. I wouldn't know what to do with that much money.

This screams that another historically power school (USC this time) expects to hire Campbell from “lowly ISU” but doesn’t necessarily mean it’s mutual. This is no different than Tennessee, Florida State, Detroit Lions in previous years.

Boy, Feldman chose his words carefully when referencing CMC.
