Don't get your hopes up. I give it almost no chance Cabanban beats Ayala and zero that anyone beats Kennedy.
I'd actually be super intersted in a Cabanban/Ayala match up. If you put Teske/Ayala on a mat right now, you wouldn't be saying Teske has no chance would you? I would favor Ayala, but I wouldn't be stunned if Cabanban won.

No, but I also think Teske wins that match with Cabanban 8 or 9 out of 10 times and I like Cabanban, I just think Teske is pretty good. It was a 4-3 match and Teske just beat Latona returning AA. Ayala is AA caliber I think, but we will see this weekend.

Iowa weighed Ayala in and introduced him at the dual. They would only pull his RS if Spencer cant wrestle this year. Makes you wonder if he would go right away, Brands said in the post meet press he's ready to go.

I actually had to go over to wrestlestat to see who else he has beat that I'm missing in the past. In his 4th year and outside of Teske it looks like his best win might be the one over Kyle Biscoglia Cyclone open back in 2020. He lost the next weekend to him 8-1 at UNI open.

Not exactly sure.
Per track, it's only 30 bucks to register. I might throw the old freestyle singlet on tomorrow and sign up! (Pretty sure my manboobs sticking out of the side like horses eyes might draw some attention, though. Been a few years since I've been back down at 125)
Think I blasted 125 in 6th grade. Was 140-145 in 7th. My family grows fast.

I would read to much into the Latona win. I think he has been beat a few times already this year. Something is up with him, maybe injury or weight cut.

I’m guessing these are guys not injured and are sitting well to take finals. Seems like a lot of former academic award winners from past years.
I would assume stotts would not be wrestling then. Stotts beat Kraisser for 3rd at Daktronics

The Cyclones are planning on taking a moderate amount of wrestlers to the meet, with Dresser saying that, "I think we're going to take about 15. 12 to 15. We're going to try to figure some things out at 165 [pounds]. [Julien] Broderson will get a chance now that he's healthy and get him some competition at 174."

In terms of starters, freshman Grant Stotts looks to be one of the few from the Iowa matchup that will be competing. On Sunday, Stotts fell in the 165-pound division 15-5 to Hawkeye Alex Marinelli, who is currently ranked No. 1 in the weight class.

"I know we got a couple guys going at [165], I think [Isaac] Judge and Stotts are both going. Other than that, we probably won't have a lot of starters there." said Dresser.
