Good thing is that we have built up some capital early. We probably only need to win 8 games in 2022 to make March Madness and we will play at least 20 (Big 12 + Mizzou + Kansas City).
7 Big 12 teams may make the NCAA Tournament, and that is out of a possible 9 this year because, I believe, Okie State has a post season ban for this year. 78% of the eligible league making the big tourney?!
I don't think ISU has the offense to beat them. To win, ISU will need to go off from 3.
They'll probably be number 1 this week and deservedly so. After they basically "raped" Villanova yesterday it's hard to believe they're not the best in the country again.
My hopes for the Baylor game are not very high but if they can keep it close it really sets the tone for the rest of the season.
It's going to be the ugliest game of the year.
As far as scoring against them, stranger things have happened.

I think we win 6-8 games in league. Think 7 with a tournament win or 8 without gets us in provided we do as expected and finish 30-0 non-con. That said...tough road ahead.
Last years group kept it close twice with Baylor. I'm thinking this year can do better. It will be tough, but Baylor isn't immune from having a bad game. They are not invincible. I saw some of their 8 point win against VCU who is by no means a power. Guys play like they did in New York and against Iowa I think they come out with a win.
But last year Baylor treated us the way we treated Jackson State yesterday. They weren’t even trying.
Well I guess they better try this year because if they don't they won't be #1 leaving Ames.
Nova at 9 is laughable. They are a three loss team that got beat by 21 and they only fall 3 spots? God bless the AP voters...
With Iowa States resume 7 wins will be in. Our NET ranking is going to hold strong playing in the best conference in the country.
Baylor is good and I'm not expecting a win. They did lose 4 starters though and will probably lose 3 or 4 times this year. One of those losses might as well be us.
