I looked at this and said to myself "what in the hell is the Southeastern conference?" It's been so long since I've seen or heard it referred to as anything other than the SEC that I couldn't picture it as anything else.
I get it, but realistically, that's too high. Getting into Iowa at #2 in FB area I think.
We have an overachieving, good BBall team that has a been a joy to watch, but I'm not going to kid myself that they are Top 10 caliber. Would love to be wrong (as I often am).
No I'm just messing around. They legit have a lot of good teamsThe SEC is easily the 2nd best conference in the country and they have been building towards that for a few years. I can't get over how down the ACC is this year.

I think some fans just prefer us not to be ranked.
Beat Baylor and set the tone for the rest of conference play. Actually, don't beat Baylor and still set the tone for conference play.
I'd rather us come out of that one with a bear claw necklace around our necks though.
Full conference count:
SEC: 6 - 43% of the conference
Big 12: 5 - 50% of the conference
Big East: 3 - 27% of the conference
Big Ten: 3 - 21%
Pac-12: 3
ACC: 1
A-10: 1
American: 1
Mountain West: 1
West Coast: 1
Absolutely amazing considering what last year was like.
Also, does the Longhorn look comical in anyone else's browser?

Good thing RPI use has been de-emphasized. It seems pretty whack right now.I get it, but realistically, that's too high. Getting into Iowa at #2 in FB area I think.

One thing is for sure, any other conference would be easier for a coach to have success in Year 1.Saw a bit of the KU/Mizzou game this weekend. Kansas looks huge this year. Baylor's length has always given us fits even when we had our "world beater" hoiberg teams. WVU never been an easy out either.
Will be a lively conference season for sure.
DeCock responded. Someone with a more statistical mind might be able to tell him why he is wrong.
