Seriously another damn near shut out by Heacock and the defensive side of the ball given up by a turd of an offensive showing and play calling at times... hell I know I received a suspension here for calling out Prohm a few years ago like this but it is more then time for this.. the offensive issues against UNI and then Iowa today as well as other big games have always been questionable at best.

CMC will never fire him or even acknowledge the offense is a problem. He has gone on to praise the turnover machine multiple times, which scares me.

We battled hard against an elite blue chip defense without our best two players. The offense did what it could. We are obviously deficient on the O line and WR positions…although Noel was bullying a legit 1st round CB on occasions. We just need more talent.

The answer to this is yes, and it really shouldn't be a question. Manning is years behind the times and constantly puts the defense in positions where they have to carry the whole team over and over again. All of his tendencies are predictable and inefficient. He loves dialing up predictable runs, never puts any pressure on the defense vertically or horizontally, but instead plays into the teeth of the defense game in and game out.

The offense has had some really exceptional players over the past few years and they have overcome Manning's deficiencies more often than they should be asked to. Nothing but respect for Purdy, Kolar, Allen, Breece, and all the other players. They gave it everything they could and are Cyclone legends.

Manning absolutely should be gone, and the only reason there's a debate is that people are used to ISU being a bottom dweller and are scared. I say play to win, and that means moving on from Tom Manning.

This game proves the obvious answer is yes. Manning is the worst.

Not saying Tom Manning is great but he didn't: Bat a pick 6 to a defender, fumble at the end of the game, or repeatedly throw behind his receivers for the first 3 quarters.

Regardless of the pick 6, 13 points and vanilla playcalling is trash. He does this game plan of being boring and overly predictable all the time and needs to be gone.

One of those two is a very good player with flaws. The other is a well paid 30+ year old that has routinely underperformed outside of a few games each season/a couple drives most games. How many games has Iowa State's defense had to do all of the heavy lifting for ISU to win?

Apparently the half of our team that was out for the game today were all trash because mannings offense should have gone up and down the field vs one of the best defenses in the country and despite the abundance of blunders we made nearly every single play all game long. Costly penalties, batted balls, missed assignments. That’s what you get with new faces playing all over the field. Not a great game plan by the OC, but damn, we didn’t play well

You have to realize when Purdy plays well that's Purdy doing great things. If Purdy plays poorly it's because Manning ruined him.

Did Tom Manning ruin Brock Purdy?

The one year Manning wasn’t here? 2018. Funny, that was our best offensive season.

2018 Iowa State was 83/130 in points per game in FBS. Averaged 26.8 points

In 2017 56th. Avg 29.2

In 2019 39th. Avg 32.2

Clemson is a pretty good defense...maybe you could give there D a little credit. Overreacting?
You cannot go into that game without Breece with essentially the same game plan as you had against Kansas. Predictable outside of maybe a couple plays, horribly timed runs and screens on third downs, a grand total of one pass beyond 15 yards? It's just the same thing we've seen many times before and at this point we're just hoping the players can overcome the defense knowing what's coming.
