It is so incredibly awesome watching Brockington rebound the ball. That dude wants it and he goes and gets it.

Kunc: certainly turning into a favorite of mine. BUT..... I hope he has thick skin and deaf when he plays. I can certainly see why opposing fans will be on him for flopping. At home we love him and a charge call always gets the crowd cheering but......... on the road he will quickly be labeled a flopper.

Big Strong Division 1 athletes that fall to the ground after any form of contact is one of sports most fascinating occurrences. Thanks a lot Marcus Smart.

Taking an elbow to the face from another big strong division 1 athlete will get a lot of guys to the ground.

Unique analogy and (ahem) fitting.

In the case of ISU-TT, some of the clothes might need to go back in for an extra cycle, but I'm fine wearing them anyway.
Continuing the washing machine analogy, if you let your washing machine do that often enough, it tears itself apart and you have to call an expensive repairman to fix it...

Can't see from that angle but he leaned forward, putting his elbow directly in Kunc's face before leaping to get the shot off. IMO correct call.

It was a subtle and smart move on his part. He leans forward before he jumps, so that when he does jump, he knows he's going to come into where Kunc is. It created an illusion that he jumped straight up. He just did his work earlier in the motion than most guys trying to draw a foul in that situation.

When my kids get in trouble, I am going to make them watch a replay of this game instead of grounding them.
I thought to myself last night when the game was over that if I looked in a mirror that I would be bloody. What a meat grinder of a game that was.

It's like ppl have never seen Texas tech play. Combine that with how we play and this type of game was inevitable. This wasn't some fluke type of game, this was by design. Adams got the exact type of game he wanted and almost pulled it off. Isu fans need to be giving him more credit. He can coach.
You are 100% correct, TT is a well coached team. But with players out, they were REALLY limited offensively. We didn't do a great job of exploiting TT missing some key players

But in the end, we got a W and that is ALL that counts. On to OU.

Did John Higgins seriously call an offensive foul on a guy who was shooting a three for Texas Tech?

Oh my goodness.

Unusual call. But if you watch the shooter, he did not jump straight up. He jumped into the defender. Cylinder and verticality apply to offense and defense

Can't recall the game earlier this year, but an ISU shooter(I believe Brockington) was called for an offensive foul because he stuck his foot out slightly on a baseline 3.

This is true. And the verticality rule is what was stated as to why.

If KBoo fans want an actual call that screwed Tech and helped ISU they could look at the techincal foul Tech got late when ISU couldn't buy a basket. I'm having a hard time imagining what he could have said to himself that was T worthy after such a physical back alley brawl of a game.
While I initially felt that we were extremely lucky with that call, Nodolny didn't argue, didn't plead his case or act like "who, me?" In fact as the camera focused on him right after the call, he seemed to be gesturing to himself as if to tell his team, "My bad." I think that he knew that what he said/did was unsportsmanlike. To me that verifies that the call was a correct one.

Yeah...I mean what could it have been? Like some shock and awe obscenity beyond other obscenity?

That was either the worst technical call in the world or Nadolny said something that the ref deemed technical worthy. Although option 2 happens a lot I wouldn’t be surprised in the least if the ref just made a bad call.

You don’t need to say a lot just one word could do the trick if it’s directed at someone. Which is why I was confused because it seemed like he never said anything at one of our players.
