Public University coaches get IPERS correct? I know Rhoads wouldn’t be vested but Ferentz is…wonder what he would pull in a month in retirement?
If you work for one of the regents universities in any capacity, money is automatically stashed in a retirement account for you. You cannot opt out. However, you CAN choose between IPERS & TIAA-CREF. IPERS is Iowa only, TIAA-CREF is national (for educational institutes), which is why many of us opt for TIAA-CREF - it's more portable.
No doubt Ferentz has a large amount in retirement. If he's 72, he HAS to start taking some out monthly. But Rhoads would have had a retirement balance when he left here.

The guitar is upside down but who cares

It looks like an upside down bass guitar, too, but we're splitting hairs. Some lefties just restrung a right handed guitars - Hendrix and Cobain come to mind. I don't think I've ever seen someone playing a restrung bass upside down. But I believe McCartney does play a right handed guitar without restringing it in Get Back (fantastic doc for anyone that hasn't watched it, Beatles fan or not!) His main bass didn't didn't have a top/bottom, it looked the same either way. A double bass (and other orchestral strings) don't come in right or left handed versions. If you are a leftie, you use your right on the bow and left on the strings, like a right handed guitar/bass. Cue the "More you know..." music :D
