He wasn't paying attention in either of those 5 counts, he just gets lost and doesn't focus.
So the whistle happened after he landed out of bounds btw.
Based on what I've seen of this staff, they will learn from this and correct. Got the win and found a new weakness that will be resolved before tournaments.
The rule was changed a few years ago, and you are no longer allowed to call time out as you go out of bounds. Unless they have changed the rule back, and I have not read they have. It was a horrible call. That was 100% the officials making the clearly wrong calls that even put that close. The 5 seconds were wrong. They gave them the ball just because they wanted to. We have to be given a fair shot first.
They called inadvertent whistle while K State had possession so by rule they maintain possession. Horrible call as there was nothing inadvertent about it since it was either a travel or out of bounds or maybe a timeout to K State if you were being generous. No way it should have went how it did though. They never charged KSU a timeout…so isn’t it automatically ISU ball.
ISU won this game by a dozen, complete joke.

I was on here about 3 games ago and somebody said they can't see two more wins in the schedule, and I thought time to see an optometrist. We have done really well since then. Great win!
Agree not all his fault, but call a TO. Or throw it over the top on the four count. Gabe has got to be better there.Maybe…it’s not all on him. We had a couple timeouts left we could’ve used. Either way- it was a good win and I’ll take it.
Got it, didn’t read the post close enough.I believe they said it was an alternate line earlier.
Perhaps more fiber would help?I left a brick in my chair...
