Crazy bonus points aside, I think that ISU has a top 20 finish locked up. UNC (Clarke is not beating Lee) and Stanford (Griffiths over O'Toole?) still have a shot to push us down the list, but I don't think we will finish outside of 20. I am happy with 3 AAs. What could have been... but I think that the future looks even brighter.

For anyone who cares, there is still a hot race for a trophy between ASU and Iowa. It could be decided in the medal round.
The guy on the ESPNU broadcast was brutal to listen to. Sounded like he was a former wrestler, but I never caught who it was. Tell us what's going on and get out of the way. We're not listening to the broadcaster do stand up. Can't knock his enthusiasm, but I'd rather hear about techniques and strategy. Nothing like a Gable/Gibbons PBS broadcast back in the day.
DeSanto dang near making me like him at the end. I can’t help but think he’d be one of the most beloved wrestlers around if it wasn’t for his antics/coaches. Style/pace can be admired and he loves the sport.
I know probably not around here, but anyone else legit worried about what happens to DeSanto without wrestling?
Yes with Nate Engel who came from Stanford. Noticing the success Northwestern is having at the lower weights makes me wonder why we got rid of Joe
I have a feeling DeSanto will still be around wrestling. Whether that competing for the HWC or coaching somewhere, he’ll still be around wrestling
Because he was offered a full time assistant coach position. And he was done competing with the crtc.

I’m not sure I agree. The guy has never had an issue off the mat. Supposedly a quiet person, good student. Maybe wrestling was the issue?
No reason at all to think he has any issues after wrestling.
Man. Cole Matthews has shown me something this tournament. A couple head scratchers, but also beat SeaBass and now all over Real Woods.
