OK, this thread already has me laughing, with the Weasel Stomping song and a Dead Milkman video - "I Want to Make Friends with the Badger". A buddy & I once encountered a wayward badger in rural central Iowa - unbeknownst to us, he had a den in a pile of deadfall we'd been directed to clear in timber during a dry summer - let's just say he was not amused and did not want to be our friend. Nor was he the least bit concerned about the tractor with hayforks we were atop - he was a nasty little monster.Tyrese will be going up against a freshman point guard from Nebraska that Wisconsin chose to recruit instead of him, so Tyrese might be a little extra motivated tonight.
Does anybody know why Greg Gard had no interest in Tyrese Hunter? I spent about five minutes looking at old ESPN recruiting profiles yesterday, for Hunter and the two freshman PG(s) on the Wisconsin roster:
Tyrese Hunter (Racine, WI) - **** - ESPN #39
Lorne Bowman (Detroit, MI) - **** - ESPN #94
Chucky Hepburn (Bellvue, NE) - **** - Not Rated in ESPN Top 100
Everybody acknowledges Gard did not recruit Hunter, though he's the highest rated of the trio, was local and had a compelling backstory. Does anybody know why? If not, I'm really hoping Tyrese has another great game and makes Gard rue his evaluation process / decision! Go State!
