What a laughable comment. Even by KU fan standards.
Have you looked at Kansas' 2019-2021 recruiting classes? Our players from the '21 class, Adams and Clemence, each played 1 minute of mop up last night. Our entire '20 recruiting class is gone to other schools. The '19 class? It's highest ranked player now plays for Iowa State. On Rivals, Wilson was 47th and Braun was 93rd. Harris was outside the top 150. KU's best player from the class of '18 made a Final Four last year with Houston and is gone. McCormack was in the 30s but has been a weird player with issues his whole career. Agbaji snuck in to the rankings at 145 due only to the fact that he signed with Kansas. He was ranked in the 300s prior to signing.

Props to KU, but the may have had the easiest road to the champiobship I’ve ever seen If you take into account both the teams they played, and getting fortunate to play teams that aren’t at full strength.

Texas Southern
Creighton
Providence
Miami
Villanova minus one of their best players

Honestly five straight games in the big 12 would be tougher than that.
Maybe. Fortunately Kansas' Big 12 regular season and tourney titles shows me that they would have had a great shot at winning those games, too. If winning "easy games" was easy in the tourney then all top 4 seeds would have been in the Sweet Sixteen. Everyone is good once the tourney starts.

I don't get much of a 'We're KU so we deserve things' vibe from them.
Braun has a bit of a rep around campus as a kid who thinks he's pretty awesome but the rest of the team is viewed locally as genuinely nice young men. What a weird year. This can't be more than Bill Self's 6th most talented teams yet here they are.

And compare that to North Carolina’s

Marquette
Baylor
UCLA
Saint Peter’s
Duke

North Carolina is definitely more battle tested, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they’re out of gas come Monday.
To be fair Baylor had injured players and had like a 30-4 run. KU can go on runs.

Probably same case with Carolina. Should be a good game, McCormack vs Bacot, Love vs Agbaji, Wilson vs Manek, some solid match-ups.

So basically you're saying yeah they cheated but they really didn't need to?

These last few years were supposed to be the "we'll see how good a coach Bill Self is without the Adidas help" show. Best team in the country prior to the '20 tourney and now playing in the title game with zero five stars. I guess he's pretty darn good.

It's good that your coach is still coaching after getting busted in an FBI sting?

He is a good coach. Had a very easy path this year, but still a good coach. Not terribly ethical though.

If "we good" is being "busted" then so be it.

So happy for this group of players who are coming together at the right time. They split 2 games with 1 seed Baylor, beat 2 seed Nova, won 2 of 3 from 3 seed Tech, beat 4 seed Providence, split 2 games with 6 seed Texas, beat 7 seed Michigan State, beat 9 seed Creighton, won 2 of 3 over 9 seed TCU, beat 10 seed Miami and beat 11 seed ISU twice. They have earned everything they are currently experiencing.

There is no such thing as an easy path any more. Everyone is good this time of year. Carolina is the top ranked team in some metrics since March 1st but people see "8 seed" and think that's an easy game. Some people are lazy.

Beat Iowa State once. Need to correct that….

You serious Clark? After a true round robin conference schedule and a run through the B12 tournament, KU is more battle tested than any team in the country. That's not an opinion. Their quad 1 wins, Net, SOS, SOR etc don't lie.

And as a result, they earned an easier path in the tournament as a 1 than UNC did as an 8.. That's how it's supposed to work. Did they have some good fortune with opponent injuries etc? Sure, but plenty of finalists have caught a break or two along the way. If they win Monday night I'll guarantee there won't be anything extra etched on the trophy about being lucky.

I'm no KU apologist, but they're playing some pretty impressive ball right now and they look like a legit finalist to me.

Dang, you completely misunderstood my entire post, impressive.

I was talking about battle tested in the NCAA tournament. I even made the point that KU had a tougher schedule in the big 12 Then their road to the finals.

And I didn’t not knock KU for anything, other than the easy draw that they had. They deserve to be exactly where they are.

KU beat a very good team yesterday - even with Moore out.

Fake news, ISU split with Kansas.

Is Bacot playing Monday night? I'll admit you guys look good but it's been an extremely easy path for a team that caliber. Texas Southern doesn't count, then you've gotten 3 out of your 5 games where the other team is missing one of their key players. Miami was a middling ACC team this year and Providence was a total fraud from the Big East.

UNC committed over 20 turnovers their last matchup v. A Big Xll defense but pulled out a win because Baylor missed 28 3P attempts. They better tighten up their ball control because I doubt Kansas missed that much.

No reason to argue with the morally bankrupt.
