It always goes over well when you come on to another fan bases forums and give them a lecture. It takes a particularly delusional sense of self importance to think that would be appreciated.
Right? Thank you potential green overlord!

They (being whatever entity wants to rule) MUST govern. No parity and the league will reap their $$$ from the ignorant but eventually die a relatively short death. And then they go on to another league with the same sales pitch (See TX for perfect example).Somebody tell me college football isn't going to be like this. Surely cooler heads will prevail and there will continue to be, or they will have some sort of neutral governance?
Just let us be sisters of the poor in peace while your sugar daddy’s Gilbert and Ishbia keep you guys goodKinda funny seeing some of the people who **** on this idea last summer promoting the new ISU NIL fund.
I honestly think that both our teams will have potentially rough paths in basketball going forward. For football I still think as long as you keep Campbell you will be fine. This NIL stuff is spiraling so fast that I honestly have no idea what things will look like 5 years from nowJust let us be sisters of the poor in peace while your sugar daddy’s Gilbert and Ishbia keep you guys good
I get it. But cmc is a top 2 coach in the big 12, you still have a great recruiting class coming in and who knows if NIL is going to be continued to spiral out of control like this

I could be wrong, but I fear that NIL will have a much greater impact on basketball than football due to roster sizes. One or two great players can significantly impact a basketball team’s success. Not so much in football. Just not sure that it be as easy to buy wins in football since it would require paying a lot more players. The exception is the SEC, where it seems like there is an unlimited supply of people willing to donate money towards football.I get it. That’s very fairFWIW, my appreciation for Michigan State has grown immensely during your time posting on this site, to where I would root for them over most of the teams in the B10. This thread is cringey though.
I hope you continue to come to the site. I enjoy friendly fans of other teams, even if not all do.That’s very fair
The NCAA will go away first.A combination of Covid influenced extra eligibility & relaxation of transfer restrictions plus the addition of NIL all at the same time, has created the usual “unexpected consequences” of rules set by a governing body. I understand the intent of the NCAA to address athletes not sharing in the billions of dollars that flow in to college sports and their inability to control booster money funneled to elite recruits traditionally. But the current recruitment of transfers and incoming freshmen has quickly spiraled out of control. I expect adults in the NCAA room will step up to the plate and address needed adjustments before college sports become the minor leagues.
Colorado is doing it!Most ordinary folks are going to say he's crazy and no one will pay up. Browse here and you will see there hundreds of people paying others for their funerals, weddings, hospital bills, car accident bills, yada yada.
We can’t all have rich alums donating time and money like Nassar did for your school…Kinda funny seeing some of the people who **** on this idea last summer promoting the new ISU NIL fund.

How many playoff appearances does your football program need to make in order for that outrageous contract for Mel Tucker to be worth it?I honestly think that both our teams will have potentially rough paths in basketball going forward. Maybe 1 more? Honestly we aren’t a program that expects to win natty’s. Our recruiting took a jump last year with tuck and this year he is making another big jump but it’s still way behind Ohio state. If the playoff stays at 4 maybe a playoff appearance every 4ish years while being in the mix for the big ten title on a regular basis will be fine with all but the most delusional fans. How many playoff appearances does your football program need to make in order for that outrageous contract for Mel Tucker to be worth it?
