Received the AD email about purchase of Iowa away game tickets. Never been.

Advice? Is it a **** show for an ISU fan to attend? I guess it depends on whether we win.

If we decide not to go, let me know if anyone wants me to buy Captain level tickets (4 max) for them.

I had a full Milwaukee’s Best thrown at me in 2006 when I was tailgating in Finkbine’s parking lot. I wasn’t even being belligerent, I was waiting for my girlfriend to get done puking in the woods.

Will never go again, had multiple beers thrown at me walking to the game. Had food thrown on me in Kinnick, and was kicked out 2 of the 3 times I was there. I deserved the boot 1 time, the other one was garbage, I got hauled out of the pisser for no reason. I was there for the Seneca game, otherwise **** Kinnick and IC.

Be very careful about open containers on city and school property, including parking lots and sidewalks.

All depends on where you sit. Near student section can be nasty. West side is usually the best. I’ve gone 3-4 times and never had a good time due to their fans and the crappy environment outside the stadium. If you want to confirm just how good we have it go there.

I assume these seats will be in ISU visitor section.

Gosh, other than getting free beers throw at us, sounds worse than I thought.

Haven't been there for BB or FB in 25 yes. Will never go again and subject us to that crap. At one time it was actually tolerable and went for a lot of years.
Good luck. Guessing it's not hard to get tickets. Don't know anyone that is interested in going.

We went one year. Parking was not handy so we caught a bus. The bus ride to the stadium was listening to Hawk fans spout arrogance. Seats were high up in NW corner. Fortunately we won a close game. Very quiet bus ride back, and it’s a good thing looks can’t kill.

EIU fans are some of the worst in college football, if you go, be prepared to be verbally attacked both inside and outside the stadium. Nothing but a group of pricks over East, and while they downplay games against ISU, they hate us, which is fine, we hate them, but they take that hate and arrogance to a whole different level.

I went once when I was in college but that was a long time ago and they were bad so it was ok. But my most recent experience was for WBB and their fans even suck for that and that was back during the Stacy Frese era so they weren't even that good then, but the fans still sucked. The only fan base that sucks almost as bad is OU, but they aren't *ssholes they just weren't very friendly.
But if you want to go experience it go ahead your results may vary (as they say on the commercials)

Ah I see the horror stories are coming out.

Frankly I have been to Iowa City for a bunch of Iowa State games and always had a good time. I know a lot of Iowa fans and tailgate with them just off Melrose and literally have never had a bad encounter (beyond a few drunk college kids yelling stupid stuff).

I would suggest going, it’s a lot of fun and Kinnick is a great venue for college football.
