Does anyone think he could be a top 20 talent? I would be curious to know if anyone has seen him play. I'm really excited about getting this kid, i think he could be great. I'm deffinetly not saying he is better than HB, but he got more hype before his hs career started than HB did, and espn ranked him in the top 10. It will be neat to see if he makes the fantastic 15 for 2012, which will come out once the hs season is over.

Hard to say. HB wasn't ranked until before his Junior season

I think he will be top 50. He has gotten off to a really impressive start so far

Don't know anything about this kid. Where's he live? What kind of competition does he play? What's his postition? Why do you like him so much?

I'm going to go off on a limb here, but i think, if we dont sign HB, Wesley will be our first McD's all american since marcus fizer.

That is going on the limb as the state of Iowa has not produced many All Amercians. Raef Lafrenz, and probaly Harrison Barnes are about the only ones I can think of off hand.

Wesley has the potential to be ranked as high as Harrison. Wesley will be arguably the best PG in his class if he keeps developing like he is. He will end up being about 6'5". He will be a big PG like a DG except with a really good outside shot, more athletic/faster and with better ball skills. Essentially DG except a lot better lol

How do we know he will be about 6'5''? Are his parents tall? I certainly hope this turns out to be the case.

Ok, I'd rather talk about this season and recruits for next season, not a freshman in high school who could eventually not even pan out. HES A FRESHMAN GOR GOD'S SAKE!

I tried using logic along these lines in the last thread about Staten, but I was labeled a hater. Apparently the correct response is:

THE KID IS GOING TO BE THE NEXT MJ AND IOWA STATE WILL WIN 4 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS IN HIS 4 YEARS!!!

Anything less optimistic than this and you are not a true ISU fan.

Might I suggest starting your own thread to facilitate what you want to talk about. Silly to post about not liking the subject matter contained in a thread within the thread itself, don't you think. :dull:

he's a freshman who just dropped 28 on the #10 team in the state of iowa. his previous 3 games he had something like 21, 15, and 25 for pts. i'd say the kid can ball, and we are going to be EXTREMELY lucky if he honors his commitment for 4 years.

Ah, yes. The supposed Cyclone fan chimes in.

Guess what message boards are for? In this case, discussing all things Cyclone sports. He is an ISU commit. He will be discussed.

If you'd rather discuss this season only.....how about you only stay in posts relating to this season. This thread was clearly labeled to be about Staten. Don't like the post? Don't read it.
