What are one or two of your favorite songs from artists or bands that aren’t their best known or weren’t released as singles?

I am a massive Fleetwood Mac fan. Gold Dust Woman is hands down their best song and one of the best written songs in history in my opinion. Just brilliant.

I also think Mona Lisas and Mad Hatters is a wildly unknown but fantastic track by Elton John.

So you're looking for "not so popular" songs from popular artists, is that correct?

David Gates (lead singer of Bread, with hits like Make It With You, If, Guitar Man, It Don’t Matter To Me) had a big solo hit in 1978 with Goodbye Girl. He followed that up with this song, which hit number 30 and stuck in my head that year as a distant, recurring memory … because the song literally disappeared from existence for the past 40 years.

Anyway, I find it insanely catchy.

This is a much better rendition of "If". When a man lights a smoke at the beginning of a music video we know it's a high class event.

I said songs that aren’t their best known/or weren’t released as a single. Might have worded it weird. It’s not both. It can be either or.

But according to Billboard it wasn’t a single.

Got it, if we were talking B sides it's hard to beat Hey Hey What Can I Do by Led Zeppelin, which was the B side of Immigrant Song. It wasn't released on an album which I presume made it's airplay limited. Great tune.
