Well here's hoping the wallet-->screenshot method still works. That was my go to giving tickets to the others in my group (so they didn't need a separate ticketmaster account and transfer every game).

I did this for the SEMO game and didn't receive any notifications while doing so.

EDIT: In the event this no longer works, can you still transfer after having added them to your wallet?

Testifying
that sounds like you are paranoid that the world is out to get you
When you send someone your ticket via email, I think they have to accept in a certain amount of time. Alos, I don't think it's been the case for a couple years now but previously I think the recipient or sender would also have to pay a nominal fee.

Looks like they will still print tickets if you ask. Students are mobile-only unless you talk to them and say you don't have a smartphone. They cannot go to Ticketmaster and print off tickets.

Like when you get in a check out line and there is an old person there and they pull out the old check book and you realize you picked the wrong damn line to get in.

Not exactly sure.

For me its the cigarette and lottery ticket people (generally the same people). They never know what lottery ticket they want until they are at the counter although they have had 3 people in front of them time to actually figure it out. Then they realize after its rung up that they forget their odd cigs that they like. The ones where the store only carries 2 packs of them,

We've always done that with air tickets, too, as a backup in case the wallet/app doesn't work. Our photos folder is always available and these are the most recent, so for me anyway, easiest to find. We delete from both locations after the event.
Yeah, don't you need internet to bring up tickets saved in GPay? That (Internet) isn't reliable at a gate to a stadium or concert venue.

I had an issue with one of our four digital tickets for the game in Norman last fall, no matter what I did, it would not put that ticket in my wallet. I contacted the ticket office there, and after a few more attempts of what I'd already tried, they offered to send me printed tickets. The digital tickets are great. Just not quite the user exp that I want/need. Like why can't I just forward a ticket from my phone's wallet to another person's wallet? That would be awesome for my kids, who have phones but do not have Ticketmaster accounts.

I'm a little old fashioned, too - I kept every paper ticket from our group from 2003 until paper tickets went away. They're in the other dinosaurs that I miss, the game day programs!

I saved my tickets to GPay. Then opened them and took a screenshot. By the next day, they were not in my Screenshots any longer. But they were in my Pictures in my camera. I am planning to use those images saved in Pictures. But now I wonder if they are no good, as some have said, to deter scammers. ????

You do not need an internet connection to get to them in GPay.
Well on my Android, I just now turned off WiFi and turned off my Mobile Data and I cannot get to my tickets in GPay. So, at least the way I do it, I need Internet. I open my GPay and then click on Ticketmaster. I get a message saying I need an Internet connection.

Ok, now I think I found them. In GPay I click on Pay contactless and my tickets are there. Never knew that before.

I just tested that myself. Thankfully I did not have the same issue. I turned off wifi and data. Popped right up. I will test again Saturday morning.

We do as well.
The ticket office did tell us this week that the print option may go away after this year. Hope not.

We need to nip that in the bud. My folks and e-tickets will not get along well. Hell the way it is now I print all their tickets at once staple the pairs together and put them in a folder 1st to last

Is the infrastructure that dang expensive to install? You would think an university hauling in millions would work with cell providers to up the capacity around the stadiums/arenas. I say that being fairly ignorant on what that would take and what it would cost.

No way around it. Reason for it is scammers were making screenshots of it and then selling to multiple people. This stops that.

This is total ********. It's just what Ticketmaster wants you to think.

I literally got into an argument with someone in the box office about how this doesn't really deter scammers at all. The difference is instead of someone getting scammed and getting a fake or duplicate screenshot they get nothing at all (no transfer). The idiots at that gate think there are less scams as they see less "fake" tickets. The reality is the person who got scammed is finding out sooner instead of finding out at the gate.

This is all about control. Ticketmaster wants to know who is selling/transferring tickets but...more importantly...they want the data from those sales. They are skirting all kinds of laws by restricting transfer and making TM the only place you can sell the ticket now (and get paid). This gives them ammunition for repricing (dynamic) tickets after they went on sale as well as data for subsequent tours/sporting events.

With sports they are simply a partner, but with concerts TM is the truest monopoly this country has seen in decades. LN controls 60-70% of the tours, they own or control ticketing at most venues, and steer those tours to their venues. They then strongarm valuable venues to switch them; if they don't they (in so many words) tell them the tours will go elsewhere. They then control the tickets, what you can or can't do with the ticket, then have tried to monopolize resale. Skyrocketing ticket prices is largely the result of TM using resale data to reprice their tickets. As for the dynamic pricing mentioned earlier, they will change the price of the tickets once carted, a blatant bait and switch technique..

The reason people get scammed is because some are too ******* stupid to take the time to know the primary ticket vendor, how their tickets work, and proper methods of paymetn/transfer. Many will also deal with scammers using OBVIOUSLY fake FB accounts and text only numbers. Don't want to get scammed? Pick up the ******* phone and call someone. 99% of scammers use text only numbers or will never pick up the phone. And when they do? They are usually easy to spot.

If Ticketmaster cared about you getting scammed they'd pay for ads educated people how to avoid the above. But they don't. It's all about control. Trust me, I know.

Once again. Thanks to the scammers. this will keep them from printing them off and selling multiple of same ticket

Again, this is false. The only true benefit to the team/venue is that it cuts down on gate issues. Instead of getting a fake/duplicate ticket, idiots get scammed and get nothing at all. Scammers won't go away until people quit being idiots when it comes to transactions. Insisting on calling someone is probably the NUMBER ONE thing you can do to avoid a scam. Most use text only numbers and the others won't pick up as they are usually outed quickly.

"Safetix" and the other BS is about control. 99% control and 1% reducing gate issues. But now, instead of fake tickets, the box has to deal with account issues (people having trouble pulling up their account) and transfers failing. Basically trading one problem for another.
