It’s exactly where the metrodome was so there really wasn’t any change except for the venue itself. Not a good comparison for other builds in different areas.MPLS train works really well from when I've been to events.
Yeah I liked it and it wasn't a huge hassle to park. I guess they moved back to Soldier Field in 2020 but not sure why.
Because tickets are reasonable it'd be a great family vacation activity at Soldier Field. Sox tickets are a good value too but no way I'd take a family to Cubs/Bulls/Bears for what tickets were when I last checked. I'd be upgrading the hotel before considering dropping that kind of money.
Just goes to show you that nothing really changes.LOL, in the article a newspaper clip cited Chicago Mayor Richard Daley insisting at the time (1975) that he would go to court to force the Bears to remove Chicago from their name. The guy coulda been a poster here.
That US Steel site is almost in Indiana.Maybe this isn't a done deal just yet....

The clock is winding down, but Chicago still could make a play to keep the Bears
Chicago does not have the money or financial credit to publicly fund a sports stadium. But the city could offer what it has in abundance — vacant land.chicago.suntimes.com
Have heard there might be some environmental issues with that land as well. That US Steel site is almost in Indiana.
No better place for a big sports stadium complex!!!!!Have heard there might be some environmental issues with that land as well.

I’m not a Bears fan at all, but I think them moving to Arlington Heights would be a great move from them. Soldier field is small and sucks. The location of it also sucks.Well that sucks.
I always liked the location right in the city. When we lived there my office had a southeast view with Soldier Field and the lake in the background. Sentimental.I’m not a Bears fan at all, but I think them moving to Arlington Heights would be a great move from them. Soldier field is small and sucks. The location of it also sucks.
I mean it's smart because it's a perfect city for a super bowl, but I get your point.Understand the need for a new field/stadium but they will definitely build a dome which is lame. Football needs to be played outside.
