Minimum donation of $3,750 and the parking pass is $250.Is it just the cyclone club donation of $3750+ and the you can get a spot or what’s the cost to get your spot as well? I saw it today and was impressed and jealous….

When we had our RV parked in D4 we had a lot more stop in and have a beer traffic from friends that tailgate with other groups in the Hilton lots. Being out in RV village put an end to the quick beer traffic. I didn’t like that. Everything else is awesome
Anyone have hot tub over there?

You could walk around and hand out beer! When we had our RV parked in D4 we had a lot more stop in and have a beer traffic from friends that tailgate with other groups in the Hilton lots. Being out in RV village put an end to the quick beer traffic. I didn’t like that. Everything else is awesome
I saw no cops, but mine was just a walk-through. Nothing wrong with strong security if that's what the public wants.Anyone else feel there was a heavier police presence then past years in the RV lot?
Stronger presence than normally all around I felt. So two young co-eds busted for having a twisted tea. One girl was trying to text something as she was standing with the cop. Wasn't sure if she was trying to have someone bring her ID or something.I saw no cops, but mine was just a walk-through. Nothing wrong with strong security if that's what the public wants.
Well, if stronger presence leads to an overall better experience for the attendees as a whole, I guess I am for it. If the presence is unfair and/or unwarranted, then that creates a totally different situation. I am all for keeping drunk and obnoxious people at bay. But, I understand how folks in power can abuse that.Stronger presence than normally all around I felt. So two young co-eds busted for having a twisted tea. This is good feedback. Seriously, send it to JP.Hopefully they relax the restrictions on bringing other vehicles in to drop off tailgating supplies at your RV or Bus. I can see why they are reluctant Saturday morning but it seems a little silly on Friday afternoon/evening. They had to staff a lot of golf carts to ferry people from the parking lot at Elwood & S. 4th. And it was slow at times getting RVs in since they felt the need to individually escort every RV all the way to their spot, even the ones who knew where they were going.
Also, if you are going to make it difficult to get vehicles in there, encourage people to bring their stuff and tailgaters in by alternate methods like by bicycle by making it convenient. Our spot is toward the south end so many of us came down Saturday morning by bike. Unfortunately the gate at S. 16th to the grass lot across the small bridge at the south end of the RV lot was shut and had no pedestrian access so everyone had to lift their bikes over the gate or fence to use the ped bridge to access the RV lot. If I had used my bike trailer to bring down my cooler like I had initially planned I would have been really pissed to encounter that inaccessible gate. A gate/fence can be configured to keep vehicles out while still being a convenient access point for pedestrians and bikes. It is already congested enough with only one vehicle access to the RV lot, make it more convenient for other forms of transportation to relieve the pressure.
Do you have any idea how much batteries weigh? How long until generators are displaced by portable battery units anyway? Kind of surprised it’s still an issue. I’m more of a backpacker and light camper so I don’t need it but I am always seeing big batteries for camping life when I shop for gear. Are they more expensive or can’t do the job?
I just did. Thanks. This is good feedback. Seriously, send it to JP.
We did this years ago. Have a battery box with a couple Optimas for our (non RV) tailgate. How long until generators are displaced by portable battery units anyway?
