Could be some Brits glad Johnson has moved on also.

It's weird because she got PM job partially because she's a Boris superfan.

Definitely an optics improvement if no other actual change. Any human who has owned a comb would be an optics improvement.

I’m going to London next week. If she croaks I’m afraid it’ll ruin my trip. I’d imagine there would be a lot more people out and about.
It's London, there's always a lot of people out and about. I would think the traffic at Buckingham palace would be much greater as I imagine a lot of citizens making the trip to lay flowers at the fences.
Now, if the coronation is taking place that would be a different story. I have no idea how long it would take for them to put that together.

A moment of silence for the Queen.

This is actually a rare moment where I feel for the guy...I mean he's just trying to walk and it's awkward knowing everyone is overanalyzing something so meaningless. Like no matter what you do it could be wrong or awkward. It's not like that clip at the UN where he's standing in the back and budges in front of other leaders like he's an insecure 3rd grader.

Probably a glimpse into what a ridiculous microscope the entire family lives with.

Also, I think this would be a fascinating time to be in London just because it’s such an event

When I was a teen in mid 90s I happen to be on a family vacation in downtown Chicago when Diana's motorcade passed right by us. It seemed like a pretty big deal even though I had no clue she was there. Like everyone was going nuts at who it was. I think she died not long after that.

I was recently in Canada and sampled "Bieb's Brew" coffee at one of their nine million Tim Hortons establishments. The guy is keeping it real with designer coffee in his home nation. A grounded celebrity for the Canadian people.
We stayed at an Airbnb above a Hortons in NY last year and got coffee there several times. It was tough by I was able to resist the urge to buy a Tim Biebs hat.

Husband just pointed out that William goes from Duke of Cambridge to Prince of Wales since he's officially next in line now.

I guess that makes Kate Princess of Wales?
I think maybe Charles does something or other to make that so. They did immediately add Cornwall to their Twitter account, now officially the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and Cambridge

I love CF. I checked in on this post and went to the latest to pick up the tail end of a convo about Tim Horton's coffee in a thread on Queen Elizabeth dying :)

She always reminded me of my grandma. Strong, stoic, and someone I had a lot of respect for.
Yes, her face, hair and fairly quiet demeanor reminded me of my dad's mom, a lot.

This was a really interesting thread until some saw fit to start interjecting politics. It never fails, it’s always the same posters.
Depending on who it was and when, you can also blame it on the mods/cw (whoever made the call). Because there was a thread in the cave that got merged with this one

E.g. Brian’s post at 105 was originally in the cave post.
