If someone would have said Dekkers would throw 3 interceptions in the first 2 games I wouldn't have believed we were .2-0

May have to live with a few interceptions from a young Qb. Love that he is willing to get the ball out, and hope that confidence doesn’t get stifled by cautionary coaching. Just needs a little refinement, as I think he has the potential to become an assassin. Its a journey. On to game III.

I would love to hear the explanation on the 2nd interception. I could see where that one may have been on Noel. Trying to force it into X when there was double coverage was definitely a bad one on him though. Still, can't complain too much. He had some brilliant moments.

This is exactly how you have to look at it. He isn’t gonna be perfect this year but he clearly is an exceptional talent and we are in good hands going forward.

Enjoy the ride.

Dekkers talked a bit about it in the post-game presser.

Yesterday was a great test for him and coming out strong on that long drive was impressive.

Think Dekkers grew a pair on that drive. It was a confidence builder for sure.

Not exactly sure.
I’m nervous when he runs. He runs like Lanning at times and trucked one of the Iowa backers. I like it but Becht needs some time to season.

I think there was a lot of that team-wide yesterday. Noel showed his potential. Several guys on defense stepping up.

Good thing the Cyclones are playing the Bobats instead of the Nittany Lions!

Fun Fact: My first game @ Iowa State was the 1989 season opener vs. the Bobcats when we were introduced to Mr. Blaise Bryant!

I've also seen the Bobcats lose @ Iowa State in 1992, lose the Donut Bowl @ Iowa State in 1995, lose the Camellia Bowl @ Montgomery, AL to App State in 2015 and lose to Central Michigan @ Ohio Univ in 2017.

So, the Bobcats are (0-5) when I have seen them in person including (0-3) @ ISU. Let's make it a clean half a dozen overall (0-6) and (0-4) @ Iowa State!

Let's Go State!
