Wouldn’t you already have your next hire lined up before firing Frost?

When was the last time Nebby made a good hire? Solich? Pelini ( get hes a prick but he won more than anyone else). They should have never canned Solich but here we are 20 years later, a **** program in a **** state. Piss on em.

I'm not convinced Meyer's ego could handle the job since there's a high risk of not getting them to what he did at other stops.

Who are you going to get lined up in middle of season? They have head start to look now, and clear Frost wasn't answer. I'm sure they have some ideas in mind.

Maybe they already have commitment from their target coach, wanted to tie him up before a bunch of openings later in the year.

Matt Campbell talks about how much he enjoyed coaching his daughter’s softball team last summer. I’m sure he’s looking for many more similar summers with his kids. I don’t think he’s going anywhere and especially if we have success.

I have a feeling they will end up with a big time hire this go around. They have the money and recourses. Kinda like it took Oklahoma 20 years to find stoops. Hate to see it coming but feel it’s reality.
They aren’t front of the line. About 32+ schools have money and resources now. Nearly all with better local talent. The P2 era is bad for Nebraska

Look for them to overpay for a retread big name when they should go after a guy like Leipold

No successful name coach from a good team is going to take the Nebraska job. They can see what a **** show it is. Nebraska fans will once again be disappointed with the hire.

Oh and Hoiberg should be on alert because he is the next coach at Nebraska to get fired.

Not exactly sure.
It will be a $6 to $7 million a year hire. A lot of big money in Lincoln.
As long as TO is basically calling the shots, he will require his people. I think he honestly doesn’t want a successful coach that wasn’t from his teams/tree because that could darken his star some in his eyes.

Trev Alberts is going to take his time on this one. Giving Frost 5 years shows to the new guy that Nebraska isn’t a one year and your fired program. Love it they suck so bad but you know as well as I do Nebraska is a blue blood program.

Bold - No they aren't anymore, not even close.
