My feeling is you ban the hawks on a cyclone board, that eliminates the trolling. Not banning Cyclones from a Cyclone board for trolling Hawks. But I guess I don't know what offending thing could have been so bad to and offensive that deserved a permaban.

I mean those offended hawks could just not come to a Cyclone board, to be offended, and trolled.

I am not one that spends time on Hawk boards, so I don't understand the people that do, as Cyclone fans. I also don't understand the Hawks that constantly come here. I dont even spend much time on ISR, because its like fingernails on a chalkboard most of the time.
Seriously. It wasn’t them getting offended, it was what he was saying—and refusing to desist when the mods asked him to. He was over the line.

PM a mod for better details than I can give you.

Not a troll by Herbstreit as much as that smug dig that it takes some great performance by ISU to beat mighty Iowa.

He likely doesn't know that ISU didn't play well like so many B1G fans.
No.

We broke a six game losing streak in a game that no one but Cyclone Jerry thought we were going to win. Especially no one here.

Herbstreit recognized that simple fact. It’s not some subtle plot to demean ISU.

Maybe the ban is long enough?
As I understand it, it wasn’t that he was trolling Hawks, it was how he was doing so.

OK, sure. And I get it. It will (hopefully) be my last post on the matter.

There is a thing called forgiveness, or 2nd chances, also. Perhaps he can be let back in, with some guidelines (strict even) / rules. Pants, for example, is back in (account has been modified or "throttled"). Hopefully that's not permanent either. You could do the same for CyTwins, or something else.

On the other hand, it is a business, and not mine at that. The folks that run CF do a great job and we all appreciate being able to be here and express and tallk about our fandom, etc. They can run their business as they see fit.

He is a fellow Cyclone, on the other hand. Time to smoke a peace pipe?

Uhhh….why would it?
First, do you want to be included on a list that includes all the other teams on that list?
Second, the list feels a lot like the-little-engine-that-could. Or little-brother-that-stole-one-they-shouldn't-have. It says it's a list of "top performing" teams but kind-a feels like "surprising probably-only-gonna-happen-once-this-season over performing" teams.

But the optimist in me says he's respecting the way ISU won especially in context of the last 7 years of this rivalry game and what good it likely means for the rest of the season.
