Walking Cy on a white helmet as occasional alternate would be sweet.
I like. They are using the "Willie the Wildcat" vintage logo? I think it's vintage anyway, But it is also on their official mascot logos for this year. Not sure when it was added again. The white looks good, and a lot of teams are doing it, so...
As far as the player # on the L side, I don't mind that either. I think that might be a retro thing also? And this is an alt helmet.
I can like their alt helmet. However, I still want to crush them each year on the field. For some reason, especially this year! Talking Heads all seem to think K-State has the better team. Can't wait to play 'em. And we have them in Ames this year. That is huge. Should be a GREAT game!
Also....flash....incorporate just a little, but a great mod from @Kagavi !!! Here it is, followed by a very slight mod by me (you can hardly tell. I increased the lower part of the block gold "I").

Any chance Iowa State might have a special uniform this year? I wouldn’t mind if the chrome helmets returned maybe as an away helmet(I know chances are probably 0%). I would love to see throwbacks.
And they have to notify the UN, and sign a NATO agreement, which has to be approved by all members.

That is your opinion, of course. I kind of like it. Let 'em have some fun. Heck, they've had those same silver ones forever, let 'em have an out-side-the-box alternative.
If we brought back one of our old logos to the helmet, some people would complain. Even more so, if we put numbers on one side. To me it's no big deal. At all.

I like this too, I also like the modern version of the walking Cy, that is like this. Someone on here has it as their Avatar. NOT the Bucky Badger looking one. The one that is sideways, with the modern version Cy head, Partly cuz Cy needs teeth. Really most are ok. I like the 70-80s, just never liked the boots, and I like the leaning I one too.
I started watching the replay of 2017 ISU v TX which was the unveiling ofthe bugle. Gotta be honest the bugle looked good. It was unique and different. The I-State sucks.
The bugle logo has been described a lot of ways, but I've never heard it described as unique.
It’s cheap. It was not good at all. They had the perfect tornado logo sitting right there. They dropped the ball big time.
I figured my take would be unpopular. The tornado from the ‘80s is much better, that is true, but the bugle is unique in that no one else has a tornado. That’s what was cool. The I-State is so boring and generic and looks like Idaho Vandals logo.
That’s fine. I respect your opinion. Don’t get me wrong I love the idea of the bugle logo, but they could’ve done so much better. Hell we’ve had message board members make better tornado logos.
As for the I-State logo, I actually like it, but I think again it could be better. There have been some good renditions of it using just a single color that I believe are better.
