That dude isn't taking a job anywhere he has to work to recruit. I can't see him going to Nebraska.
I can see Urban taking the Nebraska job and then not working to recruit. Like Frost.
Doesn’t Nebraska normally have a top 25 recruiting class even still? Assistants have an easier job recruiting when you can say you can play for Urban who accomplished this, Nebraska has accomplished this, and here’s your money.
I bet Urban brings Doyle to Nebraska if he takes it. Tried hiring him at Jacksonville until the public outrage. They won’t care about that in Nebraska.
I meant to add him as well. He seems like the “best fit” for HC behind Urban. And obviously an OC/assistantHC option for Urban.
Id love to see urban fleece them for 25-30 mil. He's one of the best coaches of all time but he's not sticking around Lincoln long enough to turn that mess around
Yeah but he's not going anywhere where he can't get a top 5 class every year and compete for a NC within 3 years. I expect he'll end up at a place like Texas eventually. That guy would have a nervous breakdown if he went 9-3.
It’s Urban, and Nebraska. I’d assume he cold get better then their normal top 25 classes, which they have been getting with no one’s at HC.
Not sure Urb even wants back in at this point. But if he does, he isn't just being handed a true blue blood job any more. Nebraska is about as high a target as he can get.
