I mean, he literally said "Our fan base". I am part of our fanbase. He’s not personally insulting you.

There isn't going to be change, in season or after season unless somebody hires our coordinator away (you'll get better odds of winning with your next lotto ticket than of that happening).
he may or may not make changes. He’s not stupid. He will make a change if needed.

And that is fine, but you damn well identify where your deficient, and hit the portal hard to see if you can fill some of that void. Tight End would seem to be a very high priority.
Another receiver or 2.
Neither did I, and the fact that he feels the need to go out of his way to accuse the entire fanbase of something they didn't actually do after a loss is a chicken **** thing to do and a terrible look. Then I guess you can be pissed.
I didn’t attack the kicker, so I know he wasn’t talking about me.
He has I guess he got a consultant, and it only took losing several games as a result of special teams to drag him into action. He’s messed with special teams though.
I don’t think we get an apology. I think we deserve one, but I don’t think we’ll get one. The more I think about this…the more ****** I get. I’ve literally, not figuratively, literally been an ISU fan and alum longer than Matt has been alive. I’ve sat through more 3-9, 4-8, even 0-10-1 seasons than I care to remember. I know many of you reading this have as well. We don’t expect national championships or Big 12 titles, just you and your players best effort(s). We’re not fair weather fans. If we were—we wouldn’t be here. So, in parting, don’t insult the ISU fans Matt. It’s a bad look—for you, your staff, the University. Show some respect, we’ve EARNED it over the years.I don't expect, nor think we'll get, a real apology. I'm not even sure we need one. But you can not let that stand, you have to attempt some damage control. That comment was flat false and totally out of bounds and he needs to make amends.
The skin of this fan base is infinitely thin.Neither did I, and the fact that he feels the need to go out of his way to accuse the entire fanbase of something they didn't actually do after a loss is a chicken **** thing to do and a terrible look.

I posted this last week, someone leaked his cell number and a bunch of people went after him directly; not to mention in social media. Bad look for the students into boo him during introductions tonight too. I thought it was set up for him to make a game winner at the end of the game, but…
Exactly. It's really unfortunate that there are a small number of people who can't act civil and respect boundaries, but that does not constitue the entire fanbase. It was a really dumb comment to make to try and deflect criticism from himself. Sad really.I wasn't aware of any of this. This shouldn't happen to anyone - pro, college, or otherwise. I have no issues with Campbell defending Gilbert and calling out bad behavior. That doesn't change my opinion that it's really abominable to go after the entire fan base for behavior that 99.9% of them did not participate in and would condemn.
I never said he’s not a good coach. We also have just miserably underperformed and have the most pathetic offense I’ve ever seen. This team is capable of more than this train wreck that will make us finish at 3-9 or 4-8.Why cant it just be a rebuilding year? Why is this some indication that he’s not a good coach?
I disagree with that. We all have our days and say things we regret. Someone said it earlier, Matt is still a young coach who up to now has had good success. Now some adversity comes his way and he is not sure how to handle it. Let's see what he says Monday or Tuesday.Campbell will come trotting out and apologize for the misunderstanding Monday, but this is a quote that I just don’t think can be forgiven.
Sure, maybe mention some people went after Jace, but dont lump all of us for the few **** heads we have. Take accountability for the poor performance of YOUR TEAM.
