I usually wouldn’t be to upset and just call this a rebuilding year, but with our lack of NIL money, I’m thinking every year will be a “rebuilding” year.

Can't wait until we put in either Becht or Cook.... and they look a lot worse than Dekkers.

Then who will people blame it on?

And no.... Kohl is not going to be the savior folks. He doesn't look as good in high school as Dekkers did... not even close. This coaching staff is ruining all these guys. They will ruin Kohl too.

To be fair, Dekkers played in class A. Kohl plays 5A.

Manning and Brian Ferentz are biggest con artists in the state. I wish I could make almost a million by being the absolute worst at my profession.

This offense is flat out freaking embarrassing. This team isn’t winning another freaking game without an in season shakeup. Everyone on offense other than Stanley, X and Noel needs to buy the defense dinner tonight. Wasting the best defense in years.

That’s the 116th ranked defense folks. And we had 2 weeks to prepare for that
I hate to say it, but Campbell was completely out coached today.

We've not been good coming out of the bye week in his tenure.

OU had a solid game plan. Ours was a real head scratcher vs a really bad defense. And again, 2 weeks to prepare.

Halloween around the corner. Good news I don't have to spend a dime on an outfit. I'll just wear one of my many Iowa State shirts and write in "Offense" on tape.

Everyone on the offensive staff from recruiting to development needs to go. EVERYONE. We apparently can't recruit on offense since even at positions we struggle at (OL, etc) we have no one who can rotate in to see if they can provide something.

We play zero young receivers other than Noel - which is usually a position group you can play a lot of guys at.

And then of course there is the scheme and play calling. We have seemingly wasted those bowl seasons and a Fiesta bowl win by apparently not developing anyone on offense or recruiting well enough on offense.

Defensively somehow we do a better job and thank goodness for that. But as good as the people who identify and recruit kids for defense are - the ones who do it for offense are just as bad.

-------------

We are a 3-9 football team and there's not a ton of hope IMO for next year because the best performers / talented players are all seniors. Once Rus, X, AJ, McDonald leave - uh.. IDK. Why would we be better? That's the question that is haunting me.

-------------------

Look, we're never going to be top 25 in recruiting or maybe even top 35. We're a development program who has amazingly, failed to develop any players on offense the last 3-4 years. Maybe Jaylin Noel. Name another young offensive player whose being apparently developed.

Yep. We ruined Purdy, and we're already ruining Dekkers.
I don't think Purdy was ruined, but I understand you. I also feel, that while Purdy was very, very good for us, he could have been even better. Better coaching to his strengths, scheme, etc.

The offense appears broken this year. And I don't think it is the QB's fault.

Who else could be to blame? I wonder.

Let me think a minute. I'll get back to you.

Campbells strengths are identifying talent and player development, not in game coaching.

We don't have national parks, mountains, oceans, or beautiful bodies of water. We have Cyclone football, and it's sucking the life out of us...

I live near the mountains, have access to national parks, and Cyclone football (if you can call it that) is still sucking the life out of me. May need to choose differently next Saturday.
