It’s going down because TNF has been a trash product that no one wants to watch. It’s also a massive gamble since it’s on a pure streaming platform.
Exactly, if the NFL is having problems getting ratings on a purely streaming platform than I can't imagine prime (or any pure streaming platform) would want to spend much on college football.

NFL just had their first ESPN+ game this morning in London. Will be interesting to see the numbers reported from it. Granted it’s the early 9:30am ET spot and two awful teams, but data nonetheless for the streaming stuff.

The point being if two bad NFL teams draw a bad number on ESPN+ what will the bulk of a conference like the PAC-12 (Wazzu, Oregon State, Stanford, Cal, Arizona, etc. do on a streaming platform? Not good.

We did. They said no. I mean it’s just so stupid.
Actually it was widely reported the Big 12 walked from the partnership. But I have a hard time believing JP and the other Big 12 ADs would agree to walk from a partnership if there were tangible benefits.

He does realize Washington nor Oregon are signing a longterm GOR, right? He is a clown.

Noticed that he only picked out Washington and Oregon to compare to the entire Big12. It's almost as if he purposely left out 80% of the conference when making his comparison.

So it looks like ISU will be making half of what a Big10 team is making. Big10 is just rolling in money and truely believe the separation will only get greater.
Help me out on the "making half of big10."

If the tier 3 is wrapped into the amount that ESPN is paying and the tier 1 rights are coming in at around 32mil where is the other 18mil coming from to get you to 50 before the CFP? I’m genuinely asking because I always thought the tier 3 rights were where that extra money was coming from.
Hey bud, we don't need you here to pee in our Cheerios. The Big 12 just secured it's future today. Take your know it all crap back to Michigan and beat on a poor defenseless Wolverine corner back.

Looking at it more, one thing I don't like is that we didn't appear to get guaranteed time slots. Maybe that's in the details still to come out, but I'd have liked to see Fox being required to show 1 game a week on their main channel similar to how the Big10 arranged their contracts. The money is nice, but we need to ensure that we continue to get exposure to remain successful.

Wondered why I couldn't find it checking CBS, Fox and / or the NFL Network this morning. What a stupid idea for the NFL to stream a game exclusively. Their loss. I watched something else instead.

If you had NFL+ you could do it too. It was the first time ESPN+ worked and integrated with a third party on that parties site.

Thanks for the info. That is interesting. However, I don't have NFL+. Not that big of an NFL fan. I just watch the regular TV games (if they interest me). I didn't watch anything today, but I'll watch a bit of the Packers tonight on NBC and the Bengals tomorrow night on ESPN.

I thought the same, but the B12 doesn't currently have any guaranteed time slots. Correct?

I was just asking a question. I didn’t understand something and speedy is usually spot on with detailed explanations so I asked instead of living in ignorance

Big 12 didn't have near the leverage the Big Ten did. I'd imagine the Big 12 well still have plenty of games late afternoon/evening on FOX and early on ABC.

Not going to lie, I was a little nervous having no football "blue bloods" was going to potentially destroy the league. Fortunately for the Big 12 that wasn't the case. The new Big 12 deal could have been greater with UT and OU were still in the league but now the cancer (Texas) is out of the Big 12. Only time will tell if Texas destroys (SWC)/nearly destroys (Big 12) another league.
In 10 years OU will likely not be a "blue blood" any longer, and at least one team in the new Big 12 will be become a "blue blood". Book it.
